Brain Balance of Arizona

Brain Balance of Arizona Strengthen how the brain works so ADHD attention, behavior, social, and executive functions improve.

At Brain Balance of Mesa, we help kids and adults who struggle with focus, behavior, learning, and anxiety find calm, success, and confidence. Our holistic, brain-based program supports children with ADHD, autism, sensory processing, auditory processing, and academic and executive functioning challenges. Using a brain-based, drug-free approach, we improve the root systems that influence learning,

executive functioning, and stress management. The Brain Balance program is proven to strengthen brain connections through sensory, motor, and cognitive activities, helping defiant or easily frustrated children, teens, and adults improve attention, mood, and comprehension—so they can succeed at home, in school, and in life.

A simple pegboard can tell us more than you might think. 🧠

During a Brain Balance assessment, we’re looking at how multiple skills work together, from visual processing and fine motor control to hand-eye coordination, planning, and sequencing.

It’s not just about whether your child completes the activity. How they approach it can help us better understand their unique strengths and where they may need additional support. 💛

This activity is doing more than building strength. 🧠

Holding a prone extension position requires the brain to process information about where the body is in space while coordinating posture, balance, and movement against gravity.

Skills like body awareness, postural control, and motor coordination create a child's important foundation for many everyday activities—from sitting upright and navigating the wolrd around them to participating in physical and classroom activities.

At Brain Balance, we look at how these foundational systems work together as part of the bigger picture of development.

Motivation isn’t always about effort or willingness. 🧠

Sometimes, what looks like a lack of motivation may have more going on beneath the surface. Dr. Rebecca Jackson shares why looking beyond the behavior and understanding what may be making it difficult for a child to get started, stay engaged, or follow through can help us better support them.

When we understand the “why” behind the behavior, we can shift from simply asking kids to try harder to giving them the support they need to move forward.

If getting your child to stay seated at the dinner table is a daily struggle, this video is for you.

It may seem like they're just restless, but for some children, constantly leaving the table or seeking movement can be a sign that something else is going on.

In this video, Dr. Rebecca explains why some children crave movement, how it can affect everyday routines like family meals, and why understanding the root cause is so important.

If you're noticing similar behaviors at home, contact us today to learn how a Brain Balance Assessment can help identify your child's unique needs and the best path forward.

This dad has seen tremendous changes in his daughter since she began Brain Balance. His advice to parents thinking about enrolling their children? “Invest in your kid,” he says, “because it’s just going to pay dividends in the end.”

Sometimes, the small everyday moments are the ones that support development the most.

Giving kids space to think, respond, problem-solve, and make small choices on their own helps build confidence, independence, and resilience over time.

It can be tempting to jump in right away, but small pauses matter. Small struggles matter. Small choices matter.

Development doesn’t only happen in big milestones, it also happens in the little moments we practice every day.

Which one of these do you want to try more often this summer?

Mornings can set the tone for the entire day especially for children with ADHD. 💙

Simple habits like natural light, movement, protein-first breakfasts, and predictable routines can help support smoother transitions, better regulation, and less overwhelm before school or summer activities.

Sometimes, small changes in the morning can make a big difference throughout the day.
