Dear Friends,
This page serves to give notice that as of the end of the summer of 2021, Mesa Montessori will permanently close its doors after 46 years of dedication to bringing Montessori education to our community.
Our school rose from humble beginnings while renting classroom space from local public schools, to our parents' amazing efforts of constructing our own building where we have been located since 1982. Many of our students and parents were inspired to become teachers themselves, and continued to share their commitment of Montessori philosophy in their own corners of the world. We are immensely proud and taken back by the many years of love and support our community has provided to our school. The formative years of early education for our children is our focus, but it is no secret that all of us learned something very special during our time at Mesa Montessori.
We will be wrapping up the school year in May and providing a summer class to a small group of students. There are various tasks we are working through including archiving the memories; selling/distributing our classroom materials to educators and other non-profits which share our commitment; and administrative/operational closures. If you would like to contribute to any of these efforts, please contact Patty or Megan directly by phone or email.
Lastly, our school would not be what it is without the incredible, tireless and passionate efforts of our staff, Alisa, Megan, Dalia and Patty. Their years of service to our community is unparalleled and I would like to make sure we can sufficiently acknowledge our appreciation. This decision was very difficult, however, as Montessori education is flourishing in our area it is a natural time to transition to a new beginning. We are extremely grateful for the difference our families and teachers have made in the lives of each child, and the blessings in every lesson shared and learned. We thank everyone for their contributions to a beautiful legacy in our community and look forward to speaking with all who would like to share what this small school has meant to them.
