A little bit about me - for those that I haven’t met or spoken with yet! I graduated from Arizona State in 2009 with my Bachelors in Special Education! I worked while in college as an AVID tutor for Scottsdale Unified School District, and upon graduation I was hired to teach Resource Special Education at Desert Mountain HS. I also coached Volleyball at DMHS, RMHS and clubs outside of schools (throughout my teaching career).
After leaving Scottsdale I headed over to Mesa Public Schools to teach Resource Math at Mesa High School. During that school year I graduated from Arizona State University with my Masters in School Administration.
Once I received my Masters I applied for the Special Education Site Leader position at Red Mountain High School in Mesa and moved over there for a few years supporting a full continuum of services for all special education students on campus!
Next I moved over to Gilbert Public Schools where I was honored to be their Secondary Special Education Coordinator (overseeing services at all Gilbert junior highs & high schools, Transition Services, & Adapted PE).
Upon COVID I had to move away from schools in order to support my own children at home! 3 kids in elementary online school, with one of those children on the Autism Spectrum, made coming home a very necessary decision.
Now that my kids are back at a brick & mortar campus I have more time to work with families and support their education, as well as my own at the same time. I look forward to getting to know you all!!
