First studio class and composer report in the books! My pianists are so brave and wonderful! Good job to and Charley for teaching us such magnificent things about Shostakovich and his glorious music!

Behold! My 2023-2024 Music Theory Maniacs! These kids go above and beyond with their music theory and can finish their entire theory book in less than a year. It's impressive. Tonight we had our induction meeting and celebrated with pizza and as much sugar as we could cram. I enjoy these nights so much! Music Theory Maniacs, UNITE!!

Just some fun memories from last year! I can't believe it's already time to start lessons again!! Next week, July 31st!! I'm so excited to see my pianists again!

Our first Music Theory Maniacs meeting of the year! It was a success! Dairy Queen does make any event better. 😋 Key Signature Bingo with my older kids was pretty tame compared to the younger kids Rhythm Cups Exploration. Somehow it always ends in throwing your cup as high as possible and catching it with your forehead. 🤷‍♀️ Music theory games at their finest! Theory Maniacs, UNITE! 😁

Getting ready to start our fall semester!! I love this time of year with all of the new beginnings and renewed motivation! So excited!!

And just like that, he's gone. You always know that your kids are going to leave home someday, and I feel like a mission is one of the most selfless and honorable ways to go. So why do I feel like there's an enormous gaping, painful hole where my heart is? I am so excited and happy and proud beyond words, but I'm also sooooo sad and can't stop crying. I'm going to miss our big guy like I can't even describe. However, I can hardly wait for the emails and the adventures of Lex in El Salvadore. 😍

These pianists are some of my favorite people!! Playing at the mall is scarier and harder than you'd think! Even with all of the distractions, the different piano, and the weird acoustics, these kids were amazing!!
