A scholarship designed specifically to cover nearly all the cost of obtaining a
Private Pilot certificate at the UND Aerospace Phoenix Flight Training Center. After
completion of the Private Pilot course, Gl Bill® education benefits may then be
used to continue studies to obtain the Instrument-Airplane, Commercial Pilot,
Multi-Engine Pilot, and ultimately the Certified Flight Instructor Certificate.

UND Phoenix is now offering a multi engine add on course!
-Accelerated ground school for multi engine add on is 15 business days, two hours per day
-Flight course is 14 lessons and an end of course check
-Flight course is approximately 14 hours in a Piper Seminole and 4 hours ATD
-Estimated cost is $6,660 plus $200 ground school fee
-Prerequisites for the course: Student must hold valid medical and commercial pilot single engine certificate with instrument rating

Job description

Performs 50 hour, 100 hour, annual and progressive inspections, maintenance and repairs of aircraft (scheduled maintenance).
Research and comply with FAA Airworthiness Directives and regulatory requirements.
Determine time life limits for aircraft components.
Perform preventative maintenance and discrepancies (un-scheduled maintenance). Including correcting discrepancies, troubleshoot and repair inoperative schematics and troubleshooting procedures, and determine correct manufacturer part numbers for replacement of parts.
Ensures compliance with FAA regulations and all UND Aerospace standard operating procedures.
Reviews work orders, aircraft records and related documents for completeness and accuracy.
Perform minor and major alternations and repairs as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
Meet the currency requirements of FAR Part 65.83.
Thorough working knowledge of all federal regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
Work with staff of full and part-tie aircraft technicians to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the FAR’s and to meet the high demands of the flight training department.
Ability to maintain good working relationship with customers, co-workers and FAA agencies.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Drug and alcohol testing as required by UND Aerospace Anti-Drug Program.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to move and lift bulky or heavy objects up to 75 lbs.
Desired Requirements:

Prefer at least 2 years technical experience.
Prefer Cessna single and Piper multiengine, single and turboprop experience.

Potential employees can anticipate a modern hangar and climate controlled workspace including LED lighting and state of the art equipment. A safety driven and positive work environment with a family feel is what employees will enjoy most about working for UNDAF.

The total compensation package, including salary totals $72,000-$78,000 DOE.

UNDAF provides maintenance support to the aviation program that has been partnered with Chandler-Gilbert Community College for the past 24 years. With an unmatched safety record, UND delivers world class maintenance, service, and repair.

Preferred Requirements- CFII, MEI, Dual Given, Initial CFI Applicant Qualification (FAR 61.195h)
