Congratulations, Montessori 6th graders! We are so proud of you and we will miss you!
Today our 6th graders had their promotion ceremony. Many students were individually recognized for their outstanding contributions to Bush Elementary. The 6th graders enjoyed a lunch afterwards donated by our neighborhood Walmart . Thank you for the generous donation!!!!
Congratulations, class of 2030! We are so proud of you and wish you the best of luck in Junior High! We will miss you!
An officer from the Mesa Police Department came to read Officer Buckle and Gloria to our 2nd graders. We love having our community partners come to school to interact with our students!
STEM in action! Three of our teachers had the opportunity to be trained in VEX Robots. These robots are specifically made for K-2nd grade students. Students create a plan, code the robots, and then test their coding. Students loved this activity and teachers were impressed with the students coding skills!
Our fifth graders spent time researching important historical figures, memorizing speeches, and creating their posters for our Wax Museum. The effort that was put into these presentations was outstanding. Parents, staff, and students were so impressed with these 5th graders. Amazing job!
From breakfast, to lunches, to dessert - thank you for all you did for us this week!

Congratulations to Ms. Shupe and Mrs. Cawood! They graduated this week with Masters of Arts in Education, with an emphasis on Applied Behavioral Analysis and Early Childhood Education - with a Special Education Endorsement. We are so proud of them for accomplishing this while working full-time. Way to go!
Climbing our way closer to summer break!
Rock climbing is a dynamic activity that is fun for a variety of students — even those not typically interested in physical activity. Climbing provides opportunities to build physical and cognitive skills. The traversing experience helps climbers build muscle and stimulates the brain as they determine which hold to grab next during PE classes.
6th grade had a great time last week in California! They got to experience new things and make new connections with their peers. The group was able to tour the USS Midway, go to SeaWorld, and attend Project Exploration. Such a fun trip!
STEM/Design Thinking in action!
The orchestra is playing a special number with the lights turned off. However, the students still needed to be able to see their music, so this young lady came up with an idea! She glued battery-operated tea lights to clothespins so her peers could read their sheet music in the dark. Such a great example of identifying a problem and coming up with a practical solution.
Today was our last Principal's Luncheon. Students were nominated for Critical Thinker and Problem Solver awards and a select few were randomly chosen to have lunch with Mr. Olson. Yum!
We LOVE our cafeteria staff! Thank you for keeping us full and healthy. We appreciate your kindness and positivity. Help us celebrate National School Lunch Hero Day by commenting below with your child's favorite cafeteria meal!

5th grade science camp was so much fun! We hiked, played games, attended classes, sang around the campfire, and created new bonds with each other. Thank you parents who chaperoned, we couldn't have done it without you! Thank you, Mrs. Cancino and Ms. Mastin for all of your hardwork and planning. It was a wonderful 3 days of learning, team building, and new adventures for our students!
Today our Montessori teachers hosted professional learning sessions for other Montessori teachers in our district! It was great to collaborate and learn together!
