While most teens were sleeping in or hanging by the pool this summer, our Mesa Public Schools CTE interns were out the door by 5:30 AMβworking full days on job sites, in offices, and on shop floors. From welding and engineering to marketing and IT, these students were gaining real-world experience, learning in-demand skills, and preparing for their futures.
Huge thanks to our incredible employer partners like Canyon State Electric, Honeywell, Holder Construction, and Advantage Reline for not just hiring our students, but mentoring, teaching, and inspiring them every step of the way. Your investment in their growth is helping shape Arizonaβs future workforceβand we are so grateful.
And none of this wouldβve been possible without Chantelle Frazee-Jacobs, who led our summer internship program with passion, purpose, and a deep commitment to student success. Thank you for making it all happen! πͺπ We are currently helping place over 400 students in meaningful internships. If your company is interested in hiring an intern, please complete our partnership form here: https://lnkd.in/gyAk_egy or send me a message.

π What a day at the final STEP (Student Tourism & Exploration Program) by Visit Mesa! β¨
Our students truly stepped up and dressed to impress for their job interviews, showcasing their professionalism and ambition. But that's not all β they also had the opportunity to collaborate with marketing students from all 6 high schools, fostering teamwork and creativity.
The inspiration was flowing thanks to our incredible guest speakers! Allison Brooks from Visit Mesa encouraged our students to "take chances and step up," reminding them that the sky's the limit. Randy McGrane, Commercial Developer & Founding Partner, shared his remarkable journey from "just a maintenance man" to restoring the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, proving that hard work and determination can lead to extraordinary success.
We were honored to have Mayoress Dawn Giles and her daughter Abby share their invaluable interviewing and career tips with our students. Their advice to "be humble and be excited to learn" resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.
Of course, a big thank you to Visit Mesa for treating our students to a delicious lunch and for their unwavering support throughout the STEP program. We are truly grateful for this enriching experience and can't wait to see where our students' newfound skills and inspiration take them next! π
