Westwood Powwow

I retired from Westwood High School last May. I assume due to Covid and other reasons unknown to me, the Powwow was canceled for this year. Put it in your calendar for next year. I will plan to work closely with the Westwood Native American Club to bring back the Powwow. Heyyy...yah

This Saturday, March 20, 2021, would had been our 18th Annual Social Powwow at Westwood High School. Due to limitations of social gatherings, we will sadly miss another year. It is hopeful that 2022 will bring our celebration of dancing, singing, and gathering as family. I am also sad to inform those who have participated in the Westwood Powwow for the past 6 years that I have come to know and appreciate, I will retire as an educator/counselor with the Mesa Public Schools. I have so many fond memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you for sharing your drums, singing, and dancing.

Celebrate Native American culture and traditions. Enjoy drums, dances, lunch and dinner at the 17th Annual Westwood Social Powwow from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. March 21 on the high school campus at 945 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Mesa, Az.
