At last month's class, Hanshi Scaglione instructed the Florida black belts on hitting the makiwara. At the Merritt Island Dojo, we have makiwara built to the specifications outlined by Master Shoshin Nagamine in the Essence of Okinawan Karate-Do.

A few dedicated Deshi trained outdoors and paid courtesy to the crew of Artemis II at the beginning of their journey around the Moon!
