Tiny Oaks Montessori Non-traditional alternative education

Our philosophy of education is rooted in the belief that children are naturally curious, capable learners who thrive in environments that respect their individuality and developmental pace. Education should intentionally nurture the whole child—intellectually, socially, emotionally, and ethically—while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

🍎 There’s More Happening at the Lunch Table Than Eating

We love having our children stay for lunch at Tiny Oaks! 💚

Lunch is served family-style, because sharing a meal together offers children so much more than good food. It’s a time for conversation, independence, practicing grace and courtesy, and simply enjoying being together.

And something pretty wonderful happens when children eat with friends: they become curious about what everyone else is eating. 🥕🍉

A food a child may hesitate to try at home can suddenly seem a little more interesting when friends are happily eating it beside them. Sometimes children just need to see a new food, smell it, watch others enjoy it, and be offered it several times before they feel ready to give it a try. There’s no pressure—just exposure, encouragement, and opportunity.

That’s one reason we love serving the same meal to the group. Our lunch table becomes another prepared environment where children can develop confidence, independence, social skills, and even a more adventurous relationship with food.

And, of course, everything tastes a little better when you’re eating with friends. 💚🌳

Stories have the power to spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and bring children together.

Each Tuesday, children will enjoy engaging stories, hands-on activities, creative exploration, movement, and outdoor fun as every book inspires a new adventure.
