In her honor, the Aubrey Mitsch Foundation is turning 36 into a challenge to keep moving forward.

For a $36 charitable donation, registered 2026 Army Ten-Miler participants can enter for the opportunity to earn one of three awards totaling $1,750:
🏆 $1,000 — Most Improved Runner
For returning Army Ten-Miler participants. The runner with the greatest percentage improvement between their official 2025 and 2026 Army Ten-Miler results wins.
🥈 $500 — Most Consistent First-Time Runner
For first-time Army Ten-Miler participants. This award recognizes the runner who demonstrates the most consistent pace throughout the race based on available official Army Ten-Miler timing data.
💙 $250 — Aubrey Spirit Award
Recognizing a participant whose journey embodies perseverance, resilience, service, personal growth, and the spirit of continuing to move forward.
This isn’t about being the fastest.
It’s about challenging yourself.
Running your race.
Finding your pace.
And becoming stronger along the way.
