Last Post and Chorus!

First, please see the email sent to students and parents regarding yearbook pickup. If you have any questions regarding yearbooks, please reach out to [email protected]. Mrs. Dumais and I cannot answer any other questions about the yearbook so please reach out to that email address. I received several emails over the weekend about yearbooks but I took today off to visit with my family that was in town for graduation; I simply could not respond but the email sent today is the only response I can offer.

As for this page, who knows what the future will bring with changes in Social Media. This page, however, will remain here to hopefully assist with some type of connection for reunions in the coming years.

Lastly, it has been my absolute pleasure and honor to have been your class advisor for the past four years. While COVID had us on shaky ground your Freshman year, you all persevered and succeded! Mrs. Dumais and I were relieved that as unusual as the start of your MHS career was, you finished your Senior Year with all of the events you chose to do. That is the definition of success from the class advisor. Thank you for the fundraising, and special thanks to your Class Officers for their consistent dedication of service to their classmates.

While I am leaving the classroom next week, I will remain at MHS and you can reach me at the same email address. Please stay in touch and visit when you are back in town from college, home on leave, or back from wherever your travels take you.

Seniors and Parents,

The Senior Cruise went perfectly! The music was loud and the Seniors seemed to have a blast! The weather cleared towards the end but it was brisk!

A reminder that today is Graduation Practice at 9:30 SHARPT!!! with Hawk Walk to follow. Seniors who pre-ordered Yearbooks can pick them up at MHS between 2-3; see the email and post from yesterday for more details. There will be pick-up opportunities in the week after graduation, but this is the only one solely for Seniors.

Lastly, I am attaching the Mark Lawrence flyer that went home on 5/31 in an email. It has directions for accessing the photographs from Graduation. It was the third of three attachments in that email, so here it is by itself. It is also available on the Graduation Website here:

YEARBOOKS!!!!!

Now that I have your attention 😊

Seniors and Parents,

Yearbooks will be in tomorrow!!!!! If you are a Senior who pre-ordered a yearbook and Seniors who preordered ONLY, you can pick up your yearbook tomorrow.

Pick-up will occur tomorrow, Friday, June 9th, in the gym between 2:00 and 3:00 PM. This will be the ONLY pick-up before graduation, so you need to be there if you want it before Saturday. You will NOT be able to buy a yearbook here, so only preorders should come to this window. If you did preorder and want to purchase a spring supplement for the 2023 yearbook, please bring $12 Cash or Check to the pick-up and Mrs. Rank and Mr. Williams can help you.

For all other grades, and if you are a Senior who did not pre-order, more information about pick-up will come out next week. While this is after graduation, current Seniors will still be listed as Seniors until the first week of July, so you will still get PowerSchool emails.

Schedule reminder for tonight and tomorrow AM:

If you are going on the cruise tonight, please return to MHS, in the Café, by 3:00 PM. Please plan for the weather accordingly. The ship is enclosed and climate controlled, but it will be cool—and possibly wet—on the exterior decks. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST WEAR SHOES AT ALL TIMES. This is a safety requirement and the crew will enforce it.

Tomorrow is graduation practice in the morning, starting at 9:30. We will line up and then process to the field where we will run through all names. Hawk Walk will immediately follow the practice. You do NOT need to wear your cap and gown to practice but you need to bring it with you if you are going to Hawk Walk. The buses from TFS and RFS will return you to MHS where you can pick up yearbooks in the gym between 2 and 3.

We will see a lot of you tonight and ALL of you tomorrow morning at 9:30 SHARP!

We had a great day at Six Flags today! Rumor has it that a teacher even passed out while riding on Harley Quinn…but I’m not gonna snitch on Farns no matter what.

Anyway…. An important reminder to be in the gym BY 9:00 to get your cap and gown, do the class picture, and to start graduation practice. I know many of you have appts to get to before the Cruise, so if everyone pays attention and cooperates, we can finish up as quickly as possible,

Movie night is in the books! While the weather moved us inside, it was a success! Thanks to Donali’s Food Truck for feeding the 130 students (and chaperones) too!

Seniors,

While the weather forecast looks better for tonight, the wet field conditions mean 1) wet butts and uncomfortable coolness from the ground and 2) the breeze might cause the big screen to tip over due to the wet ground not being able to safely secure the screen. For both of these reasons, we are moving the Movie into the gym. Please bring chairs if you would like, and you will still be able to stretch out on the floor. We are also working on getting some bleachers out as the screen will be set in front of the collapsed senior bleachers.

There is no change to times, meals, or anything else…we will just be inside due to the muddy field. If you have any questions, please let us know. See you all tonight and congratulations!!!!!
