A VERY early morning, but we made it to Washington D.C., ahead of this week's Disability Policy Seminar conference. Looking forward to connecting with amazing people from all over the country. A busy week ahead!

Today we brought Field Trip Accessibility Bags to our school district! Each school got 2 bags filled with sensory items, fidget toys, noise-cancelling headphones and cleaning materials to disinfect between uses. Our inspiration came during a trip to the New England Aquarium, where we were able to check out a bag of helpful items at the front desk. Having some new items on hand can be a life-saver when navigating an unfamiliar environment (every parent knows that sometimes you just need something new to change up a mood!). Sometimes we all need a brain break, and these common items can help make a field trip experience more enjoyable for students who may need a change of pace.

This donation was made possible by our speaker fees for a recent workshop, and Karin and I were jazzed to make 12 bags for our town's students. Teachers will be able to check out the bags to bring along on all their various outings. 💙💚🩶
