Merrimack, we could use your help!

This Wednesday, August 26, is the big day for Senior Parking Lot Painting! We’d love to make it a special day for our seniors and the staff who help make this new tradition happen.

We’re firing up the grill and could use donations of bottled water, soda, individual bags of chips, paper products, plasticware and other non-perishable items. Any excess items will be used for future student events.

Donations can be dropped off at the Merrimack High School main office during regular business hours.

Thank you for helping us make Wednesday a great day for the Class of 2027!

We want this to be the headline for every Merrimack student! 🙏💙

Merrimack proud! ⚾️❤️

What an incredible story of hard work, perseverance, and chasing a dream. Congratulations to Merrimack’s own Mickey Gasper on making his mark with the Boston Red Sox!

Mickey Gasper, the 30-year-old utilityman, is tearing it up this week with the Red Sox... smashing three home runs in three games. His athletic success began at Merrimack High School, where he was on the basketball team, too, playing on the 2013 team that was a runner-up, losing to Manchester Central in the state finals. You have probably driven by it a million times but have you ever been inside the green house? You’re Invited! Come and step inside a piece of Merrimack History.

Join me this Saturday, August 22, from 1:00–3:00 PM for a special Meet & Greet at the Merrimack School District Superintendent’s Office.

Come say hello, ask questions, share your thoughts about our schools, and take a look inside this interesting little building.

Long before it became the Superintendent’s Office, this little house was a family home.

In 1963, a young girl named Dona and her family moved to Merrimack when her grandfather took a job nearby. The house sat among deep woods, with scotch pines in the yard, a homemade pond, and plenty of room for childhood adventures.

Then, in the late 1960s, Merrimack began building a new high school next door.

The family eventually sold the home to the school district. And remarkably, as Merrimack High School and the surrounding campus grew, the little house remained.

Decades later, Dona rediscovered it in photographs and realized that the childhood home where she had spent so many summers was still standing, right in the middle of the school complex.

Inside are reminders of its past: built-in bedroom drawers, a distinctive stone fireplace stretching across the dining and living rooms, and memories of family life that have now become part of Merrimack’s history.

Today, that same house serves as the Merrimack School District Superintendent’s Office.

I hope you’ll stop by Saturday, August 22, between 1:00 and 3:00 PM. I’d love to meet you and share this special piece of our district’s past.

“Merrimack runs on Dunkin’!”

We are bringing our next Community Meet & Greet to the Dunkin’ at 514 Daniel Webster Highway, this Friday, August 21st from 7:15–8:15 a.m.

Borrowing their tagline, “Merrimack runs on Dunkin’.” But I’d add that Merrimack also runs on community, connection, and people who care deeply about our students!

Come grab a coffee, say hello, and share what’s on your mind. No agenda, just good conversation with good people.
