The Summer Piano Olympics is over! Challenges this year included rhythm, ear training, note reading, key signatures, intervals, and musical symbols. We integrate the challenges into lessons over the summer for some fun, and there are medals for the top three scores in each category and prizes for the top 3 scores. First prize is a roll up piano, second prize is a melodica and third prize is a hand piano. Here are the winners:

Congratulations to Mikayla! She won the silver medal in the advanced rhythm cup challenge, the bronze medal in the chromatic scale speed challenge, the silver medal in the ear training challenge, the silver medal in the music interval bingo challenge, the gold medal in the cup stacking challenge, and the gold medal for the highest overall score! She was also the only student in our Summer Piano Olympics who completed every single challenge. She won the grand prize of the magnetic music sculpture! Incredible! Way to go!
