Merrimack,
Thank you to everyone that took the time out of your day to come out and vote in our local elections! I am incredibly grateful to everyone that voted for me and elected me to serve another 3 years on our School Budget Committee. 🙌😍 I look forward to spending more time pouring over budget books, listening to community feedback and using my voice in Concord to demand the adequate funding our public schools require in order to be successful members of our society (and receive FAPE).
Special thank you to all my friends 🫶 and family that supported me in running and helped make my second ever campaign so successful and enjoyable! 🤩😍
Thank you to every candidate that ran and put yourself out there! It takes a lot of courage and dedication to your community to run a local election and I hope to see y’all back next year.

P.S. Peep my unimpressed face on the front page of the Union Leader yesterday from when I testified on Monday against a bill that would increase local costs accrued for special education & lower what the state contributes.😒

Election Day is almost here‼️It’s THIS Tuesday!
Kids will be home from school for local elections and it’s a great time to show them democracy in action, so bring them along!

The weather is supposed to be beautiful on Tuesday so you will find me mostly under a canopy at MHS rocking my wide brimmed hat to protect my Irish skin. ☀️ I will have some bubbles and chalk and dum dums to briefly entertain littles, if you want to come over and chat or ask questions before you go in to vote!

Dan has been a wonderful addition to our budget committee through the many years he has served, always asking a wide range of questions during liaison meetings and was voted to be the Vice chair this past season! I will be voting for Dan Coakley for the 1 year school budget committee seat on April 14th!

Here is the next candidate I will be voting for on April 14th! I look forward to hearing how he plans to ensure we are balancing our students needs and the communities concerns with the cost of public education. Preston has young children that are just beginning their educational journeys and he comes with fresh ideas on how to improve outcomes.

With elections only 3 weeks away, I thought I would take the time this week to inform voters who I will be voting for in our local elections on April 14th.
Ali Lasala is going to be an amazing asset to our Merrimack School Board! She understands the importance of passing our teachers contract, improving academic outcomes for students and balancing the fiscal responsibility our community needs.
