Kindergarten families! Less than two weeks away from our Kindergarten Playdate! 🛝

Join the PTTF on August 31st on our new and improved Lower Playground to kick off the upcoming school year!

Amongst us will be the debut of our newest Hawk mascot alongside Merrimack School District’s Superintendent, Bob Thompson!

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to meet their classmates, for families to connect, and get to know the PTTF before the school year begins!

There are MANY volunteer opportunities throughout the school year - please PLAN AHEAD!

Interested in volunteering, being a room parent, or serving as a chaperone for the Merrimack School District?

Per district policy, all volunteers, room parents, and chaperones must complete the below prior to volunteering:

1️⃣ Background check and fingerprinting by the district

2️⃣ Complete three vector trainings (each school year)

‼️Background checks can take 10–12 weeks, so please schedule your appointment as soon as possible‼️

• Appointments are required — no walk-ins are allowed

• If you volunteered during the 2025–2026 school year, you do not need a new background check

All good things take time—and the TFS Lower Playground is worth the wait! 🛝🎉

We owe a HUGE thank you to Lakeview Materials for their extreme generosity in providing a substantial amount of material, as well as countless hours of labor to get our playground in tip-top shape. Their attention to detail and overall compassion for the project has not gone unnoticed.

THANK YOU, Lakeview Materials for all you have done to make this project possible! We are so grateful for your support.

Due to weather and arrival of necessary parts, the opening of the playground has been extended. Rest assured, you’ll be the first to know when it’s reopened to the public!

📣 PLAYGROUND UPDATE! 📣

Summer is flying by and so is the transformation of our Lower Playground. Trust us when we say…it’s looking GOOD! 🤩

Crews are hard at work completing the equipment upgrades and final landscaping, with an anticipated completion during the week of August 10th.

Now we’re crossing our fingers for a stretch of sunshine and no more rain so everything can wrap up right on schedule! ☀️🤞🏼

We know our Hawks are eager to get out there, and we can’t wait to see the playground filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of fun very soon!

🚧 Friendly Reminder: The Lower Playground will remain closed to the public until construction is complete. Thank you for your patience and support as we create an amazing space for our students and community!

The PTTF is proud to sponsor much needed updates to our lower playground for the upcoming school year!

Please note, during these renovations, the playground will be CLOSED for public use beginning on July 20th.

We anticipate a two-week turnaround and will notify once reopened.
