We've spent the last two years listening, planning, and preparing.

Today, we're proud to introduce Andrean High School's 10-Year Strategic Plan, a vision that will guide our school into its next chapter while remaining firmly rooted in our mission, Magister Meus Christus ("Christ is My Teacher").

Built in collaboration with school leadership, faculty, and outside experts, this plan focuses on strengthening every aspect of the Andrean experience, from academics and faith formation to campus improvements, student opportunities, and long-term sustainability. Formed over the past two years, the plan outlines Andrean's goals between today and 2036.

Over the coming weeks and months, we'll take you inside each area of the Strategic Plan and share how these initiatives will benefit current students, future families, alumni, and our entire community.

This is more than a plan for the future. It's our commitment to the next generation of 59ers.

Last night, the Andrean Family came together at Fr. Eckert Stadium for our Boys Soccer Cancer Awareness Fundraising Game. Even a rain delay couldn’t keep the Niners away. Our students, families, and fans showed incredible patience and support before cheering the 59ers on to a victory over the Wheeler Bearcats!

More importantly, the night was about something bigger: honoring those we’ve lost, supporting those who have battled cancer, and standing with those who continue to fight.

A huge thank you to our Soccer team for organizing the evening and our students and volunteers who helped collect donations and distribute ribbons throughout the evening in support of cancer awareness. Your willingness to serve and support a great cause is what makes the 59er Family so special.

And thank you to everyone who donated to Phil’s Friends, helping provide care, encouragement, and support to individuals battling cancer.

59ers stand together. Always. ❤️💛

Andrean took on the Highland Trojans at Highland on Monday, August 24, for an NCC Conference match. It was our season opener. Andrean has not won a conference match since 2022. The Niners secured a 3-2 win against the Trojans. Junior Quentin Alvarado at #3 Singles was first off the court with a 6-0, 6-0 win followed by Junior John Henry Lubash at #1 Singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win. Freshmen Gabe Carlson and Wyatt Rohr at #2 Doubles secured the next victory for the team, sealing their first conference win in more than 4 years. After a hard-fought match extending into a third set. Juniors Rush Kohut and JP Carlson took a loss at #1 Doubles with a score of 3-6, 6-7⁷. The final match to conclude was Sophomore Declan Bouton extending his match into a third set. Unfortunately, Highland was able to secure a second victory. Bouton's score was 6-4, 3-6, 4-6. This did not discourage him, though, and he will keep on fighting throughout the season.

On Tuesday, August 25, Andrean faced Wheeler High School in a non-conference match at home. The previous day's win provided momentum into this match, which has historically been heartbreaking for the Niners. However, Andrean pulled out a 4-1 victory. With two walkovers at #3 Singles and #2 Doubles, Andrean was already up 2-0 at the start of the match. John Henry Lubash remains undefeated, putting up another dominating score. Declan Bouton won his first match of the season, destined to prove that one match does not define him with a score of 6-2, 6-1. Rush Kohut and JP Carlson took their match into a 10-point tiebreak, unfortunately taking a loss. Their score was 3-6, 6-2, 9-11. In the tiebreak, the Niners were down 1-8 and went on a tear to tie it at 9-9. The Bearcats scored the 2 final points to win a single match.

The Niners have had a great start to the season and are ready to fight to prove that they are becoming the power that they once were. The Niners face the Hanover Central Wildcats at home in their second conference match of the season on Tuesday, September 1 looking for a 2-0 lead in the NCC.

We invite the Andrean Family to come together on Monday, August 31, at 7:00 p.m. at Fr. Eckert Stadium for our Boys Soccer Cancer Awareness Fundraising Game as the 59ers take on the Wheeler Bearcats.

This special night is about honoring those we have lost, supporting those who have battled cancer, and standing with those who continue to fight.

The Andrean Boys Soccer program is partnering with Phil’s Friends, an organization that provides care packages and support to individuals of all ages battling cancer throughout the United States.

The soccer team will also wear special Cancer Awareness jerseys during the game. These jerseys are being auctioned, with all proceeds benefiting Phil’s Friends. There are 29 jerseys available, with additional jerseys being added to the auction.

View the Cancer Awareness Jersey Auction at https://www.myminiauction.com/cancerawarenessjerseys

Most importantly, we hope you will join us in the stands on August 31. Whether you attend the game, donate a gift card, or support the jersey auction, every contribution helps us turn a night of soccer into an opportunity to serve others.

One goal. One team. One cause.

We hope to see you there!
