Today was our day to explore Nashville. Although we didn’t get much exploring done. We had a pretty good time. We adventured to the Country Music Hall of Fame and down Broadway to the Ryman Auditorium. We took a very quick trolley tour of downtown Nashville. Pretty architecture, but the most interesting thing that I learned today was that the phrase Music City does not come from country music, but actually an African-American college located in Nashville. They coined Nashville as Music City.

Y’all, I have been a Beta Sponsor at BMS for the past three years. Mrs. Crossley took the full torch as Beta Sponsor this year and did an amazing job! I had the ultimate pleasure of bringing three wonderful young ladies to Nashville this year. As this will be my last National convention, I just wanted to say that we honestly have the best students, the best staff and school around, and the best parents.
From my first year, going to Savannah and having three different sets of parents go and all the blessings that they gave to me and the kids while we were there it’s just amazing. Now those kiddos are in high school and it was a sad farewell.
Then last year we had amazing parents and grandparents go with us to Orlando and WHAT a blessing they were to us and the kids while we were there.
Then there’s this year I have to say that having this wonderful family go with us has been a true blessing to Bland Middle School and Bland Middle School Jr. Beta Club. There is no way that you can do what it takes to keep things together at convention without our Tiger family.
A huge shout out goes to the Suly Saul Gutierrez family for being a true blessing to our Bland Beta’s and myself at the convention in Nashville this year! Thank you, Gutierrez family we love you! 🐅💙💛🦋🌼🦋💛💙🐅
