26 July 2010 - After a year of planning, organizing and reaching out to reconnect with over 673 MHS 80 classmates, our thirty year class reunion weekend has drawn to a close. But the old friendships revisited and new bonds that have been formed are too valuable to once again let slip into obscurity. We encourage each and everyone of you to join us and stay connected as we proceed forth as a group with a common connection reaching back over 30 years plus. Well, MHS Class of ’80 has another reunion in the books. For everyone that attended, I hope you had a great time reconnecting, sharing stories and laughs, and remembering those Warriors that are no longer with us. I have always felt that our class was pretty incredible with some truly amazing people, and I still do.

As you all know, this reunion was particularly challenging, primarily due to COVID. We had to push out a year, change up venues and caterers, and work with existing contracts and agreements with a lighter attendance than we’re accustomed to. What should’ve been a one-year planning effort became two. Thankfully, we’ve had a remarkable planning committee that worked through all this including financing the events out of their own pockets. I can’t thank these people enough and adequately show them how much they are appreciated. If you get a chance, please show them your gratitude. While this isn’t everyone that contributed, the committee included: Brian White, Todd Kirk, Lori Lorrondo-Harris, Karalee Wurster, Diane Quong, Shannon Gentry, Jennifer Schmeckpeper, and last but not least, our Chief Social Officer, Eddie Godsey.
