The Preschool Squad

So important to have little kids exposed to reading. At our preschool we have many variety of childrens books we read to the kids during story time. We also have our monthly book reading challenge. Checkout the 13 benefits of reading aloud.

*We are currently running an 8 week summer reading program to help introduce the beginning stage of reading (alphabet sounds, blending & sight words)

Summer Art Program 🎨:
This week we learned about Piet Mondrian and made a replica of his masterpiece. We loved painting squares & rectangle using primary colors and afterwards we started mixing primary colors to make a secondary color and also learned what colors are warm & cool.

Summer Programs may have already started but it’s still not too late to join! Come joins us this month and next month for some pure fun activities. From weekly themes, to art & math, to kinder jumpstart, to even our reading program.

I love Meet & Greet Day! I got to see all my preschoolers along with some past preschoolers in person. I love all the hugs, high fives, waves, even the shyness. I am now more excited for first day of school next week. Also a big shout out thank you to Renee at Signgypsiesboise! We have been using her service several years now and she has always done an amazing job with our yard sign & Photo Booth.

Last Travel Destination: DISNEYLAND 🏰! Why not have the preschoolers explore Teacher's favorite magical place. They rode on a few fun virtual rollercoaster 🎢 and I am not going to lie it was a blast especially the Splash Mountain where they got some water mist. They did a fun disney number & shape puzzle along with making their Mickey/Minnie ear hat. Final part of the day was the firework 🎆 showcase to where they had glow sticks and got to take home a balloon 🎈along with a fun Authograph books filled with many different disney characters. They say Disneyland 🏰 is the happiest 🤗 place on Earth 🌎! , , ,

3rd Destination: We traveled to the MOON 🌝! It was quite an adventure for the little ones. Entering NASA 🧑‍🚀, then off we went to travel to the MOON 🌕! We got to explore many different sensory items, made our soloar system 🪐 craft project, and did a fun rocket 🚀 launch at our playground. , ,

2nd Destination for Travel Month is MEXICO 🇲🇽! Preschoolers learned about Mexico, learned Spanish Color Words, made a poncho by craft/paint, played pin the donkey's tail and a fun number cactus 🌵 game, did the Mexican Sombrero Dance 💃 and build their own Mayan Temple 🏜 with sand. Best of all they ate some yummy Spanish Rice with Cheese Quesadilla which surely was a BIG HIT! , , ,

Fun time in the sunshine 😎! Preschoolers had a blast at Hawaii 🌺. First they flew on the plane, then they learned about Hawaii, checked out cool things that can be made with a coconut 🥥, painted their surf board🏄🏽‍♂️, hula danced , hung out at the beach, tasted pineapple 🍍, and did a fun pineapple craft. Their fave part was taking home their seashell & tiki pinacolada popcorn 🍿. , , ,

We had so much fun dressing up for Dr. Seuss birthday week and reading many of his wonderful rhyming books. He sure made so much inpirationl and uplifting quotes 💙

Ending Dr. Seuss Birthday week with the Story Time “Sleep Book”. It was a perfect day to be in Jammies! They also brought their furry buddies to school.

My little Preschool Group enjoyed Green Day! We dressed in green, learned the letter V by making a volcano erupt with green lava, had yummy green cookie with green juice, and read Dr. Suess “Green Eggs and Ham”. What an amazing/fun Green Day 💚

Story Time was “Fox in Socks” and so my Pre-K Group wore silly socks. I thought my socks were silly but boy o boy these kiddo’s had the coolest/crazier socks 🤪🧦😜

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! Thank you for giving us many fun inspirational rhyming books and showing us the importance of reading. Not only do kids enjoy your books but adults as wells.

Preschool Group had a wonderful story time of “Put me in the Zoo”. We dressed up for the occassion by wearing polka dots and bringing a Stuffy Animal 🔴🐻🔵🐨🔴🐶🔵. It was super fun having some furry stuffies join us at school today.
