Please update your website to reflect current policies. I thought my Kuna High student was registered for your January course through your Nampa location. I only found out today at the drive-through orientation that only Nampa district students can register, and that my son had been dropped from the course. This screen shot was taken today. I just want Phillips to be transparent with this policy so other families don't deal with the confusion and frustration we have today.
How many can you miss on the 52 question permit test and pass?
Phillips Driving School is hiring Student Driving Instructors! Pay is $17-23/ hour! If you enjoy teaching, want a flexible schedule, and have a good driving record we want you! Resumes can be sent to [email protected] or contact 208-898-0120
How do I find out when the next nampa class opens up so I can register for it?
Where are you located ?

From ACHD:
SPEED LIMIT CHANGE: Drivers should be aware of two speed limit changes in Boise.

The first change is a decrease to the speed limit on a portion of Goddard Road. The speed limit on Goddard Road, from Glenwood Street to Maple Grove Road, will be reduced to 25mph this week.

Also changing to 25mph is a portion of Collister Drive, from State Street to Hill Road.

Both roadways were previously 30mph and will host new speed limit signs to reflect the lower limit. We appreciate local drivers slowing down to meet these new speed limits and keep themselves and fellow commuters safe.

12/24/2022

We will reopen on Tuesday 12/27 at 11am.

Have a Merry Christmas!

School Bus Safety...

Soon, the familiar sight and sound of school buses will be part of morning routines again. Let’s go over a quick refresher – when it’s required to stop for a school bus.

🛑On any road with three or fewer lanes, vehicles traveling in both directions must stop.

🛑On a road with four or more lanes, vehicles traveling in the same direction as the bus must stop. ⚠️Those traveling in the opposite direction can proceed with extreme caution.

Keep our students safe and be an engaged driver. 🚌

As kids and parents prepare to head back to school, so do we! The ACHD team keeps hundreds of school zone lights operational, flashing, and updated to keep students safe each day on their way to school. As you drive around town, keep an extra eye out during school hours for students crossing the street. From all of us at ACHD, we wish Idaho’s students a bright and safe school year!

Leave Fido at home not in the hot car!

07/08/2022

Heat Alert 🚨

Most all vehicles have a recirculation button with the AC controls in their cars. But many of us are unsure when to use it.
Well, the easy answer is to use it in the summer and turn it off in the winter.
The recirculation button simply takes the air from inside the car and recirculates it in the cabin instead of pulling fresh air from outside. On days like today when it is miserably hot outside, if you do not recirculate the cooler air in the cabin, than your AC system is pulling hot air from outside and trying to cool it. Using the recirculation feature will get your car cooler and will decrease the wear and tear on your AC system.
- Side note, if your car has been baking in the sun, its better to roll the windows down and turn recirculate off for the first minute or so to get rid of the super hot air inside the car before turning the recirculate on.
Also, any time you are stuck in traffic ( summer or winter) be sure to use the recirculate. If you are pulling air from outside, then you are pulling in all the pollutants and carbon monoxide from all the traffic. Studies show that recirculating your AC can cut down on the pollutants entering your vehicle by 20% when stuck in traffic!
