Students involved in our Idaho Drug-Free Youth Club (IDFY) hosted a hot chocolate social for high school students Thursday morning.

It's already time to start planning for tax season. Idaho offers a tax credit for donations to schools. You can take a credit of 50% of your donation, up to $1000 if you are married and filing jointly (up to $500 for an individual). Look for the donate button on our website, www.compasscharter.org. If you prefer to give through PayPal, search for [email protected] and donate there. This is a tax credit you can take even if you don’t itemize. For more information, see Idaho Code section 63-3029A.

Reanna Byers (12th) was awarded the Varsity Extra girl’s basketball player of the week! She averaged over 16 points a game through three games, helping her team secure victories in all three matchups. Congratulations, Reanna!

Lottery applications are now open! The application period closes Feb. 28 at 4:00pm.

Compass HOSA, FCCLA, BPA, and ART Club want to say thank you to our Compass Families with an act of service. On Saturday, 12/14 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. our student volunteers will watch you little people while you go out and take some time for yourself. Our students are planning crafts, games, and we will even feed them dinner. Space is limited, all children must be registered to attend. After you register your children, you will receive a confirmation from Mrs. Long. Children must be walking and verbal. If you have questions please email Mrs. Long at [email protected].

The Compass Debate Team competed in their first Debate Tournament! Congratulations to EW taking the top speaking medal and silver in the Lincoln-Douglas debate competition and JK receiving a bronze in the Lincoln-Douglas debate competition. All students did an amazing job and worked hard, your coaches are beyond proud. Way to go Aviator Debaters!!
