We are proud to celebrate two of our Class of 2026 seniors, Makayla Fikes and Ali Jimerson, who were awarded $500 Financial Literacy Scholarships. These outstanding scholars completed over 100 hours of community service and participated in six financial literacy workshops, demonstrating dedication, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth.
We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and grateful for community partners who continue to create opportunities for our students to succeed. Congratulations to everyone involved! 💙🎓

Please join us in welcoming Jayden Jones to the Meridian High School Band staff!

Jayden Jones is a recent graduate of William Carey University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. Ms. Jones brings a diverse background in performance, administration, and world-class drum corps leadership to the program. She currently serves as the Tour Operations Manager for the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps, where she oversees logistics and operational coordination.

In 2023, Ms. Jones served as a drum major in drum corps before transitioning into an administrative role in 2024. She is also a recipient of the Keith Hall Founder’s Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership, service, and dedication. In addition to her work in education and drum corps, she serves as an Administrative Assistant for Silent Command, further demonstrating her commitment to leadership development and operational excellence within the marching arts community.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Jones to Meridian High School and look forward to the impact she will make on our students, our culture, and the future of the Wildcat Band.

The Meridian High School Wildcat Battalion proudly represented Mississippi on the national stage at the JROTC Leadership and Academic Bowl (JLAB) National Championship!

We are honored to be the only school in Mississippi to compete in the Academic Division and one of only two Mississippi teams to compete in the Leadership Division. Our cadets have worked tirelessly throughout the year to earn this incredible opportunity, demonstrating outstanding dedication, teamwork, leadership, and academic excellence.
