Hello to all our families,

As school reopening approaches, we recognize that all our families are unsure what is in store for our school children. We have negotiated with Doral Academy Charter school to continue the use of the campus for remote learning for our students throughout the upcoming school year. It is very important that you talk with Arynn, Jackie, or myself about your plans for your child(ren) this fall. We are working diligently to create daily rosters but ask for your help keeping us informed of your child’s school day schedule. Some of our students have already started remote learning. West Ada sent out an email on the 8/18/20 announcing that they will post alternating attendance schedules for children on your child’s power school account. Doral Academy Charter should be releasing their schedules by the beginning of next week. The cost for remote learning with the Hybrid school schedule is 120/week for 1st & older and 130/week for Kindergarten.

In order to provide the best supportive learning environment for your children, we are asking the following:
1. Please ensure that your student have headphones for zoom meetings
2. Our staff will need the teacher’s email so that they can contact them with any issues in connecting to zoom meetings or learning activities
3. We will need a clear schedule from your child’s teacher including zoom meeting times and daily expectations
4. Recognize that our staff is here to support your child. If they are being disruptive to other children’s learning environments and cannot be redirected, you will be asked to come and pick them up
5. Recognize that we are here to support their learning, we are not their teachers. Just like you we want to see all our students be successful, however, we are working under unusual circumstances and we ask for your patience as we navigate this new journey of learning
6. If you will be dropping your child off directly at Doral Academy, please make sure that Arynn or Jackie are made aware
7. If you are dropping off your child at either the Paramount or Pine location we need your child to arrive no later than 8am to ensure transport over to the Doral Academy Campus.

Our staff will be doing the following to help support your child’s remote learning:
1. Send a daily folder home with a simple completed or not completed assignment to help keep parents informed on their child’s progress
2. Aide logging into zoom meetings
3. Provide extracurricular activities outside of learning including art, gym, and science.

Safety protocols are still being followed:
1. Handwashing
2. Sanitization of classrooms and play areas, throughout the day
3. Masks are being worn by staff
4. Temperature checks upon arrival
5. Curbside pickup and drop off continues
6. Sick Policies are still strictly being enforced
a. 72 hours fever, vomiting, diarrhea, cough and runny nose free

Thank you for all your patience with our staff as we continue to navigate through new policies and challenges.

To Our Valued Families,

Jayne has been in contact with Central District Health Department regarding the Ada County Mask Order. The order is meant for public places and daycares are not considered public areas. Therefore, they are not requiring any children to wear masks while in the care of Raisin’ Angels LLC. If you would like to send your little ones with a mask, we will encourage them to wear them throughout the day.

Children 5 years and older will probably be wearing masks to school IF they return to school this fall. If parents would like to send masks with their children 5 years and older to help them adjust to wearing one throughout the day, our staff will encourage the children to wear and use them properly. Once again, this is not a requirement and is up to each individual family. Our staff will continue to wear masks while at Raisin’ Angels.

With cases continuing to rise, we want to again remind everyone of our illness policies. Please keep in mind failure to follow these illness policies may result in loss of care. Unfortunately, any exposure affects more than just one family and we are asking everyone to be considerate to others and work with us to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.

COVID-19 Symptoms can be any of the following:
Fever
Cough
Runny Nose
Headache
Sore Throat
Loss of taste and/or smell

This is one of the most common signs/symptoms of COVID-19
Vomiting or diarrhea
Difficulty Breathing

If your child/ren is experiencing any of the above symptoms, they cannot return to the facility until they have been 48 hours symptom free without the use of medication.

We recognize allergy season is upon us, if you have a current doctor note stating your child is not a COVID-19 concern they may return to care sooner.

If your child/ren or anyone in your household is being tested for COVID-19 they cannot return to the facility until a negative test result has been received or the appropriate quarantine time has lapsed.

Thank you to all our families. This year has been a whirlwind of challenges and crazy moments. Thank you to everyone for working with us and transitioning with us through all of our policy changes to keep things running here at Raisin’ Angels. We love each one of our families!!!!

Good Morning and Happy Friday!!!

The last few months have been crazy for everyone. Its been amazing to see how people have come together and supported each other in so many ways. Thank you for all your patience with us, as we have figured out how to navigate through all the changes. With Governor Little opening the second stage of Rebound Idaho, many of our families are returning to work. I have been working closely with the CDC and Idaho Stars to ensure we are following up to date recommendations and best practice models. I have put together a list of changes we at Raisin’ Angels LLC are doing daily to help keep your children and our staff safe and healthy.

- Curbside pickup and drop off is still in effect. At this time, we are not sure how long this will continue.

- Our staff is disinfecting the facility constantly throughout the day. We are doing a deep clean nightly once the children are out of the room to ensure everything is thoroughly sanitized before the next day. This includes toys, cots, shelves, tables, chairs, etc. The outside toys are being disinfected between each group of children.

- We will continue to log your children in and out

- Health checks will be done daily at drop off.
- Temperatures are taken upon arrival (anything of 100F or more will be sent home).
- If you child has a fever, we require they be out of the facility for 48 hours fever free.
- If your child has diarrhea or vomiting, we require they be out of the facility for 48 hours.
- If someone in your household is sick, we ask you to keep your children at home to help prevent the spread to the facility.
- If you or someone in your family is being tested for COVID-19 we require you to keep your children at home until notice that the test is negative or a doctors note is given saying it is safe to return.

- After health checks your child/ren will be taken to their classroom and wash their hands. We are handwashing several times throughout the day, including before meals, after using the restroom, and when returning from outside.

- After talking with Idaho Stars and looking over best practice models, they are not requiring masks to be worn at this time. We do ask that parents try to keep 6ft back when dropping off or picking up their children, but we also recognize this may not always be possible.

- Our staff is following all these guidelines as well.

- If you would like to see some of our projects and activities throughout the day, please join our Facebook groups, Raisin Angels Pine Curriculum or Raisin Angels Paramount Curriculum.

Thank you again for all your support throughout this crazy times. We love and miss all of you and are excited to see all of you returning.

Dear Parents, If you have friends or family that are essential workers and need childcare please share our post. These parents are the backbone of our community in this time of need, and we want to help anyway we can. We've extended our hours to help with different shifts. We miss all of our kids and can't wait to see them again!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

As most everyone is aware Governor Brad Little implemented a Stay at Home Order today for 21 days. Childcare is considered one of the essential businesses. We will be remaining open to care for families of essential business workers. If you know any families in need during this time, please refer them to us so we can help them.

Current Policies and Procedures
**Curbside drop off and pick up (thank you to all the families for helping us make this transition smooth)
**Health checks upon arrival. Staff and all children entering the building will be scanned for a temperature & cough (please keep in mind we CANNOT take children that have been given any form of a fever reducing medication)
**We ask if you or your child is not feeling well to stay home
**48 hours fever free without medication before a child may return to care
**If you are quarantined out of precaution, we ask your child to stay home for 14 days

Daily Activities
**We are still taking the kids outside. Per health department we are sanitizing between each group of children
**Handwashing for employees and children upon arrival and several times throughout the day
**Our staff is constantly wiping down surfaces with disinfectant, both in the classroom and throughout the building
**Toys are sanitized Daily
**Classes are spread throughout the building to limit the amount of children in one location

We are requesting any parents of school age children to please send homework or reading materials for their child.
Feel free to contact Jayne [email protected] if you have any questions.

All of us at Raisin’ Angels value each and every one of our families. If there is anything we can do at this time please let us know. We are all anxious for this to be over and ready to have all your little ones with us again. Thank you for supporting us through this rough time. We love and appreciate all of you

Dear Parents,

As we continue to touch base with Central District Health Department and Health and Welfare, we are working to ensure the health and safety of our little ones through this time. Events are changing daily, and Jayne is constantly checking with the health department, Idaho Stars and the CDC website for childcare recommendations. We are continuing to stay open, as of now, as childcare is essential for medical fields, EMS, and single parent families that have no choice, but to go into work.

Effective immediately we will be asking parents to do curbside pick-up and drop off. A staff member will meet you at the door to wash your child’s hands and take him/her to class. This helps cut down on the number of germs being brought into the building. Please call if a staff member is not at the door for you.

Dear Parents,

As we prepare for the next few weeks, we’ve been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. With school’s closing and fears mounting we want you to know that all the staff at Raisin’ Angels LLC values your children and you as parents. We currently are planning to stay open, unless otherwise recommended by the CDC or CDHD. We will be implementing a few new sick policies and asking for your support in a few areas:

Sick Policy:
- If your child has a fever over 100 F do not bring them into the facility, until they have been fever free without medicine for 48 hours.
- If your child has vomiting or diarrhea, they will be sent home.
- If your child is not acting like they feel well, please keep them home.
- Our staff will follow this same guideline.
As a reminder, children are required to be picked up within the hour if they are any symptoms listed above.

Food:
- Raisin’ Angels LLC currently has the ability to supply meals, however, there may come a time (if the stores continue to be cleared out) that we will ask parents to provide meals for their child that is attending.

Attendance:
- CDC has recommended social distancing. If you are one of the few parents able to work from home, we ask that you keep your children when possible and keep us informed as to when they will be attending.
- If schools close, availability for openings will be limited. Please be considerate to the parents still required to go to work (health care, emergency services, etc) and keep your children home when possible.

Handwashing:
- We are asking you to sanitize or wash your hands when you walk thru the door and before clocking your child in.
- We are also asking that you do not enter your child’s classroom. Teachers will greet you at the door and help you.
- When leaving the building try to avoid touching the door on the way out with your hands.
- Teachers will be handwashing with the children several times throughout the day.

Cleaning:
- Staff with be doubling our efforts to clean, sanitize and disinfect everything. Please help us by following handwashing procedures and staying out of the classrooms.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping everyone as healthy as possible.
