You can pay through PayPal (Clarkdale Elementary PTO) or Venmo (@clarkdaleelementarypto)! (Please add $2 to your total for PayPal and Venmo) Once you’ve paid, shirts can be picked up by your child before school at the PTO Spirit table on Friday, August 28th. 🐾 BEAUTIFICATION BEFORE BACK TO SCHOOL! 🐾

Our Beautification Committee and volunteers have been BUSY getting Clarkdale Elementary ready to welcome our Bulldogs back to campus! 🐾

📸 See the pictures below for a look at all the hard work and improvements made around our campus!

Before Back to School, we held a public work day where our volunteers rolled up their sleeves and put in some serious manual labor. We are so proud of everything that was accomplished!

✨ Here’s what was completed:

• Pressure washed the “Clarkdale” rock, sidewalk by the office/library, old office awnings, wall beside the old office, and front library awning
• Weeded flower beds and removed old pine straw
• Removed clogged drains and created new drainage areas, including adding a garden to help with drainage
• Repainted the paw prints, posts, and “Clarkdale” rock
• Painted the coat hook rack on the playground and added new hooks
• Added new plants and planters throughout campus, including the walkway between the old office and library, around the Bulldog statue, and near the old and new office doors
• Added fresh pine straw by the Pre-K rooms, along the walkway between the old office and library, and near the modular structure
• Mowed and weed-eated campus areas
• Painted and added the pencil/ruler photo op area
•2 hand painted signs used as photo ops at back to school bash
• Created a new bench area with pea gravel and a new sign
• Added new teacher/classroom signs
• Added a paw print photo op to the school entrance
• Added boxwood wreaths with sashes
• Purchased new playground balls and a rolling ball cart

💰 Beautification Investment

The PTO Beautification Committee invested a total of $4,550.69 into these improvements before Back to School.

🌿 $1,950.69 — Campus beautification projects, supplies, plants, landscaping, playground additions, and other improvements

🐾 $2,600 — The new Clarkdale sign located between the old office and library and 44 teacher/location signs for classrooms

These projects were about more than making our campus look nice. We wanted our students, teachers, staff, and families to walk onto campus and see a school that is loved, cared for, and full of Bulldog pride.

A HUGE thank you to our Beautification Committee and every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and plenty of sweat to help make all of this happen! Many of these projects required hours of hands-on work, and we are incredibly thankful for everyone who showed up and helped.

And to our Clarkdale families — thank YOU! Every fundraiser you support and every PTO purchase you make allows us to turn those funds right back around and invest them into our school and our students.

We’re just getting started for the 2026–2027 school year! 🐾

🌸BLOOMING INTO THE NEW YEAR🌸

Our Bulldogs are back, the halls and sidewalks are buzzing, and we couldn’t let our amazing teachers and staff kick off the school year without a little extra love! 💗

A HUGE shoutout to Mitchell Distributing for providing the Bloom drinks for a little extra energy needed for the busy day ahead and helping us make sure our staff is fueled and ready to meet all their new students tonight!
