Meridian Lauderdale County Public Library Public library serving the needs of the people of Meridian, Lauderdale County and beyond.

Have you heard of award winning actress Sela Ward or the father of country music Jimmie Rodgers? And let's not forget Hartley Peavey, the founder of Peavey Electronics. All of these and many more famous individuals have called Meridian and Lauderdale County "home." In 1864, General Sherman and his troops destroyed the railroad tracks and burned tons of freight, leaving the General to declare in a memo to Union Headquarters, "Meridian no longer exists!" Well, he was wrong. Take a peek inside and see what the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library has to offer.

🍂 A little fall crafting to start October! 🎃

Our Monday Adult Program got creative with a cozy fall craft! Patrons chose wooden pumpkins, acorns, and leaves, traced their favorite designs using graphite paper, then brought them to life with paint markers and a little ribbon for some extra fall flair. 🍁✨

We love seeing how everyone takes the same supplies and creates something completely their own. Just look at how cute these turned out! 🧡

Nothing says October quite like pumpkins, falling leaves, and a cozy morning spent crafting at the library. 🍂🎃
