Thank You to all of them who donated to help provide Kindness t-shirts for every student and staff member at our school. Dear Parents,
We are looking for sponsors for the 2022/2023 Community Kindness Movement program!
The Community Kindness Movement is a non-profit organization, with a community and school initiative. We come together to celebrate and inspire kindness throughout our communities with monthly programs around kindness for our children. The program entails:
· Kindness Shirts - worn often throughout the school year and especially on Thursdays for kindness day each week. The bright yellow stands out to remind kids about kindness. See the attached picture for this year’s shirt front.
· Annual Community Kindness Movement Week - the 3rd week of September where the entire school comes together daily to learn about kindness, celebrate each other and create unity.
· Monthly Kindness Activities - monthly theme, discussion, and lesson plans for teachers to facilitate in their classrooms.
Mary McPherson staff and PTO believes strongly in this program and has decided to continue participating in the Community Kindness Movement again this year.
To make this program possible, we need sponsors. The cost of the program and shirts this year is $3,100. Our school won a grant of $2,100 for this particular program which means we only need to raise another $1,000 this year. Sponsors will help fund the program and the shirts for the children and staff at Mary McPherson Elementary. · $250 - Kindness Supporter
o Logo Placement/Name on back of kid’s shirts · $500 - Kindness Partner
o Logo Placement/Name on back of kid’s shirts
o Social Media Thank You & Promotion on PTO social pages (copy & post date must be mutually agreed on)
o Logo in CKM website and sponsor page · $Other – Donate what you can today!
All donations are due by August 24. This is a very short runway for us, so please donate today!
You can donate here: Donate what you can today!
If you are interested in sponsoring this year’s Community Kindness Movement for Mary McPherson, please email [email protected] or text Jennifer Lane @ 949.735.8667.
Thanks so much!!!

Help Ms. Judith become a U.S. Citizen
All donations will be collected by the Mary McPherson PTO and go directly to Judith’s citizenship application cost of $725. There is a donation jar set up in the front office for anyone who wishes to donate.
Judith Zawadi has traveled to Boise from Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa. After going through extremely tough situations, she came to the U.S. in 2016 after seeking asylum as a refugee. Once Judith came to the U.S., she has been employed and working hard. She has been with West Ada working as a custodian for the past five years where she has built many positive relationships with staff and students. Whenever you see Judith, along with doing her daily duties, you will see her walking with a bright smile, talking with students in the halls, or playing outside at recess.
Judith has a son that is still in Africa, and she is trying to get him here into the United States. She has worked on filling out paperwork for the past several years and for the past six months has been in contact with Idaho Senate for help. It has been a process that has taken numerous emails and phone calls to make this happen.
Currently, Judith is working on getting her citizenship here in the United States. She has filled out her citizenship papers, has been studying for the test, and is ready to submit her application. The fee for the application of citizenship is $725 and we are asking for your help with the costly expenditure. Please help Judith in establishing her citizenship as she is a positive personality for all.
Tomorrow is our last PTO meeting for this school year! Meeting will be at 6:30pm in the gym…we will be discussing new ideas for next year and reviewing everything we have accomplished this year. Thank you all for the support this year, we couldn’t have done it without you!

LAST DAY TO ORDER: 11/10/2021
Don’t forget to order cool gifts for that special family member or hard-to-buy-for person. With over 40 unique and useful keepsakes ready to purchase during the Square 1 Art fundraiser, your child's artwork is the perfect gift for any occasion or celebration. Nothing says “you’re loved” like “I made this art keepsake just for you!”
It’s the final day of the fundraiser, so don’t delay. The school benefits with every order!
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
Hello Mary McPherson parents,
A pamphlet should have been sent home with your child yesterday that shows the art work your child drew. You are able to purchase the items in the pamphlet with your child's artwork on it. These make great christmas presents. This is a fundraiser to help fund the supplies for the Art Smart program run by the PTO. If you are unfamiliar with this, once a month a PTO parent goes into each classroom and teaches a short lesson on a particular artist and the kids will complete a piece of art work in the style they learned about. Then on April 14th we will have Art Gallery night where we display all the art work. The kids love it!
There is a QR code (or instructions on the back) on each pamphlet where you can order your child's artwork online. DEADLINE IS NEXT WEDNESDAY, NOV 10th. Online is much easier to track but you can also send the pamphlet back into your classroom by November 10th.
Thanks for helping to support the Art Smart program! We couldn't do it without the help from the parents!
