The 2026 City of Trees GSHIM Celebration is coming up October 9–10 right here in Meridian, and our Legacy crew is getting ready!

Friday kicks off with Team Sparring, Testing and Mid-Terming, followed by tournament day on Saturday at Sawtooth Middle School. Doors open at 8 AM, Opening Ceremonies begin at 9 AM, and competition starts at 9:30 AM.

New to tournaments? Don’t let that stop you! The City of Trees GSHIM Celebration is for students of all ages and experience levels. It’s a chance to challenge yourself, build confidence, support your teammates and put your training to the test.

The 2026 City of Trees GSHIM Celebration is coming to Meridian, Idaho, October 9–10!

Hosted by Legacy Martial Arts, this GTMA tournament is an opportunity for martial artists of all ages and experience levels to challenge themselves, build confidence, compete alongside students from other schools, and celebrate their progress.

The weekend begins Friday, October 9 with Team Sparring, Testing and Mid-Terming. Tournament day is Saturday, October 10 at Sawtooth Middle School in Meridian.

Confidence isn’t about believing you’ll always get it right. It’s believing in yourself enough to TRY.

At Legacy Martial Arts, students build confidence every time they learn a new skill, work through something difficult, step onto the mat, or accomplish something they once thought they couldn’t do.

🥋 Confidence encourages kids to try new things.
💪 It teaches them to face challenges instead of avoiding them.

There’s a lot happening behind every traditional Taekwondo form. 🥋

This cycle, our Junior Color Belts, ages 8+, are working on GSHIM 3, 1st Half. As they learn each new movement and combination, they’re building much more than their Taekwondo skills.

Forms challenge students to strengthen their focus, memory, coordination, balance, technique, and body control. They have to pay attention to the details, remember their next move, make corrections, and continue practicing until everything starts to come together.

It takes patience. It takes discipline. And most importantly, it takes perseverance. 💪

At Legacy Martial Arts, we love watching our Juniors grow stronger and more confident with every cycle, both on and off the mat.

What happens in Vegas… comes home with medals! 🥋🏅

The Legacy Martial Arts team had an incredible weekend competing at The Tiger’s Roar Tournament in Las Vegas, hosted by Sr. Master Martin, Sr. Master Derrick, and Champions Martial Arts!

Our team came home with 7 FIRST PLACE medals 🥇, 2 SECOND PLACE medals 🥈, and 6 THIRD PLACE medals 🥉, but we brought home so much more than hardware.

More experience. More friendships. More determination. More grit. And a whole lot of great memories with our Legacy crew.

A huge thank you to Champions Martial Arts for having us and putting on such a great tournament. We can’t wait to see everyone back on the mats when it’s our turn to host in October!
