VSH Art Club students met for a fun afternoon creating art projects! Their happy faces say it all.

Have you submitted your photos to the VSH yearbook staff? This is your last opportunity to submit photos. Photos must be submitted by May 15 in order to include them in this year's yearbook.

We are looking for photos of you learning online, playing sports, extracurriculars, or fun activities such as traveling and spending time with your family, friends and/or pets.

Students who were not photographed during picture day can submit a headshot portrait. Portraits must be an original picture from camera or cell phone, good quality, and school appropriate.

• What I like about West Ada: I love that we put student's first, making decisions based on what is best for kids!
• The best thing about being a Principal is...I love that even though we are a virtual school we still are building relationships and take care of each other! I love the collaborative nature of the VSH staff! I also love and appreciate that I am still able to visit classrooms, share in virtual picnic lunches, and READ to students!
• Family: My husband Brian, is a commercial airline pilot for United Airlines. We have two beautiful daughters: 1) Kelsy, 28, teaches at Monroe Elementary in Boise; she is married to Chris, and they have one daughter, Remy, my first granddaughter; and 2) Elli, 12 who is a 7th grader at East Junior High in Boise.

Shuttles 🚌 will also be available for students every hour on the hour transporting to and from RMHS.

Theme Days, Art Contest, and Trunk-or-Treat! Students will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing for participating in Red Ribbon Theme Days. Prizes will be awarded at Trunk-or-Treat (must be present to win).

PSAT Day is this week!
All 10th graders, and 11th graders who have registered, will take the PSAT exam on Wednesday, October 12th.

VSH students will enter through Renaissance High School (1307 E. Central Drive, Meridian)

Test will begin promptly at 8:00am. No students will be admitted after the test has begun.

Room assignments will be posted near the main office and in hallways. Staff will be available to direct students to the correct classrooms.

Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from Renaissance High School. Testing will end at approximately 12:30pm, please plan for transportation home.

Lunch will NOT be provided for VSH students, please make necessary accommodations.

West Ada School District is changing student passwords!

To assist your student(s) with this change, student usernames and new passwords are now accessible to parents in PowerSchool.

Elementary School Student passwords will be changed on August 22, 2022. These students will need to use the password listed in PowerSchool on the first day of school.

Middle and High School Student passwords will be changed at 10:00 PM on Wednesday, September 7. Students will begin the school year with their current passwords. On Thursday, September 8, 2022, students will need to use the new password displayed in PowerSchool.

Come one, come all… on Saturday, August 13, between 8am and noon. Plan on weeding, planting, mowing, making friends, having fun, and supporting your school community. Please bring your own equipment… garden tools, lawnmowers, shovels, rakes, etc. No need to RSVP – simply stop by any local West Ada school site – come and go as you please. West Ada has partnered with Tutor.com to provide individualized tutoring and homework help to our West Ada students on demand. The service offers:

• 24/7 support: Students can log in through Clever anytime by clicking on the Tutor.com icon, selecting the subject they need help with, and then clicking CONNECT NOW. They will typically be paired with an expert tutor in about a minute.
• Safe and secure connection: Tutors undergo a rigorous vetting process, and sessions are recorded and reviewed by a dedicated quality control team. Students’ identities are also anonymized.
• Wide range of subjects: Students can get help in math, writing, world languages, AP® subjects, and more. Instruction is provided online, in an interactive classroom.
• English and Spanish tutoring: Expert tutors are available to tutor students in English as well as Spanish for math, writing, science, social studies, and study skills subjects.
