Congratulations to our 5th grade teacher Mrs. White! Mrs.White applied for a grant to purchase a document camera and math manipulatives for her classroom, and was surprised with a visit from CapEd with her award.
Our Seniors continue to enjoy their Senior trip in Rome. Here is what our beloved teacher and trip chaperone Mrs.Stobie had to say, "A seeming culmination of their K-12 learning and yet a continuation of their education as they see, taste and touch what they have only read about on paper. A chance for them to gain confidence navigating the world as they head off into it at graduation. A grand opportunity to grow in virtue as they live in community for 12 days."
This month’s hymn is O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing. Please join us on Wednesday and Thursday in Heritage Hall right after drop-off, followed by a time of coffee and fellowship. Note: Thursday’s Hymn sing will be Grammar School only.

Ambrose Bridge Junior, Mackenzie Jacky, was able to participate in our Rwanda trip this year and this is what she had to say about her experience.
"It is definitely hard to sum up such an impactful experience into a few sentences, but I will say that it was very valuable. We were able to help start a library at Africa Bright Future School, run a VBS for the students, and a training for the teachers. I was given the opportunity to run VBS games for all 300+ kids and it was so beautiful to see how much joy they had not only in life itself, but in our Lord and Savior. We got to see God working in so many amazing ways in the two weeks we spent there and I can’t wait to make more memories next year." Mackenzie Jacky
“Rwanda is a beautiful place but the people are even more beautiful”
-Michael England (Rwanda, 2023)
God designed humans to flourish by dwelling in His beautiful creation. But we must commit to actually being in nature to reap the benefits!
Join the Bridge Challenge: Commit to spending at least 1000 hours outside by summer 2024!
In the sea of activities available to children and families the simple act of stepping outside to play can easily get lost. Who has time for playing in the yard when there are dances to be rehearsed, homework to be finished, music notes to be played, and soccer drills to run? Yet surprisingly, research shows that the cheap and simple act of playing outside offers the most developmental and health benefits for our children.
Our journey at 1000 Hours Outside is to provide insight into a different way to do family life, where nature time is often chosen before other activities. Through highlighting the litany of benefits that accompany breathing in outdoor air we hope to encourage and motivate your family to make nature time a priority.
An important part of learning in the classical style is Socratic discussion. Students are led through the important points in history or of a book to the Great Ideas that have been proposed throughout history and compare them to Scripture. Through rich discussion, our students continue the Great Conversation.
Congratulations to the Ambrose Bridge class of 2023!

Why learn Latin? Over 30% of the English language has Latin roots. Students can often decipher the meaning of a new word by knowing Latin. Because Latin is the most orderly, logical, and disciplined language form, it helps train the mind to learn in much the same way that math does. Learning Latin sharpens the mind and sounds beautiful when you sing it!
