Michael J. Arjavich Jr. Obituary Michael J. Arjavich Jr., 79, husband of the late Judith Arjavich, died on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Bristol Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Meriden, Connecticut on May 16, 1939, he was the son of the late Michael Arjavich Sr. and Alice (Maneiri-Bossola) Arjavich.

Mr. Arjavich had graduated from O.H. Platt High School of Meriden, Class of 1959 before moving to Davenport, Florida. He was employed by Cooper Jarrett Trucking Co. and St. Johnsbury Trucking Co., retiring in June 1993. He was a parishioner of Celebration Community Church in Celebration, Florida. He was an avid golfer at Polo Park West Country Club in Davenport.

Besides his partner, Charly Ann Huber, he is survived by his two daughters, Michele Terry and her husband Chuck and Jo-Ellen Crouth and her husband Peter; his son, Michael Arjavich III and his wife Donna; and his four beloved grandchildren, Lindsey Terry, Nicholas Terry, Tristan Arjavich and Machaila Arjavich. He is also survived by his good friends, Bob and Bunny Hope.

A private graveside service in Michael's memory will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202. Elaine’s vertigo has never been worse
Kay can’t recall where she left her purse
Rhonda’s about to replace her knees
Linda’s breathing is tinged with a wheeze

Donna's left b**b has a troublesome lump
Diane’s on her third trip to take a dump
Lorraine’s husband can’t remember a thing
Nine years a widow, Marge still wears her ring

Marlene is dealing with another UTI
Sally’s giving a hearing aid another try
Marie has decided she can’t drive at night
Sharon still wears clothes two sizes too tight

They’ve been through divorces and babies and wakes
They do for each other whatever it takes
They’ve already buried Marcia and Kate
And truthfully, Lizzie’s not looking so great

So whenever they can, they get out to eat
Open bottles of wine and forget their sore feet
There’s laughing and crying and letting down guards
And when the bill comes, there’s ten credit cards

So here’s to the waiters who keep orders straight
And to the places that let lunches run three hours late
And here’s to the girlfriends, those near and those far

Dorothy A. Krystock (1/4/41-8/18/18)

Dorothy Arnold Krystock, wife of the late William J. Krystock, and daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Arnold) Dziadek, departed this life for her eternal home on August 18. Dorothy (Dot) was born in Meriden, CT and lived there until 2002. She started her career in Meriden as a teacher, and then went on to become a school psychologist for the Meriden elementary schools.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Karyn Krystock of Boston, Ellen Ronka of Portsmouth, NH, her son Thomas, daughter-in-law Sunkyung, and beloved granddaughter, Suji, of Shanghai, China. She achieved what every Mom aspires - to be considered the best mom in the world by her children. Dot devoted her professional life to helping children, and friends of her own children often thought of her as "Mama K." She loved gardening, reading, watching birds, bargain shopping, yard sales, animals of all kinds, crafts, and politics. Those who knew her enjoyed her fun sense of humor and were inspired by her kind generous nature and enduring faith.

Services: Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug 25 from 10:00-11:00AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Ave, Meriden, CT immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, Dot requested that donations in her memory be sent to The Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, formerly a ministry of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, in thanksgiving for the friendship and support she received over the years from Sr. Matthew Maria, Sr. Paula, and Sr. Caroline at 295 Benham St, Hamden, CT 06514 or at www.ascjus.org.

MARC S. LEVINE Obituary Marc S. Levine, 77, beloved husband of Tamara Kagan Levine, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Hartford Hospital, after a long illness. The son of Bessie (Koplowitz) and David Levine, a school teacher and shopkeeper, Marc was born and raised in Meriden, Connecticut. He graduated from Maloney High School, Brown University and Georgetown Law Center. After practicing law for many years, Marc became a real estate developer, and at the age of 49, founded Marc S. Levine Real Estate Interests. He developed numerous projects over the last 27 years, including many dedicated to expanding the availability of affordable housing. He believed fervently in the revitalization of downtown Hartford, developing the first new housing project in Hartford in decades, ArtSpace Hartford. Marc dedicated many years to restoring the classic Sage Allen building, and was able to maintain the building's historical integrity through close collaboration with leading historical preservation experts. Marc was easy to find in a crowded room with his curly grey hair, booming voice, and distinctly warm smile. He was friendly and generous towards people of all backgrounds and walks of life. Marc's foremost priority, however, was his family. His favorite activity was spending time with Tammy, his children and grandchildren. Besides Tammy, he is survived by his wonderful children and step-children: Greg and Kuri Levine, of Bethesda, Maryland, Pamela and Bill Miles, of Hanover, New Hampshire, Abby Levine and David Cunningham of Sharon, Massachusetts, Ross and Jane Weiner, of New Canaan, Connecticut, and Elizabeth and Andrew Miller, of New York City, along with nine grandchildren who absolutely idolized their "Papa": Daniel and Seth Levine, Sophie, Carly and Zachary Miles, Josie and Gabriel Cunningham, and Spencer and Lilly Weiner. He cherished each of them and will be sorely missed by all of them. He also leaves behind his adoring mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elaine and Eugene Kagan, his sisters-in-law and niece, along with many loving cousins and treasured friends. The family would like to thank Dr. John McArdle, who was not only Marc's outstanding physician, but a true friend to Marc and Tammy. They would also like to thank the nurses on Bliss 10 at Hartford Hospital who took such great care of Marc over the last few weeks. The funeral will be held at Beth El Temple on Thursday, October 18th at 10:00 a.m., with interment following at Beth El Cemetery in Avon. Shiva will be at Marc and Tammy's home in West Hartford Thursday after the funeral, Thursday night, Friday afternoon until sundown, Saturday following sundown and Sunday afternoon and evening. Contributions in Marc's memory may be made to Beth El Temple, the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, or any charity of the donor's choice.

Sorry to say we lost another classmate, Muriel Deno Urquizu, who was a Maloney High School graduate.

Muriel Urquizu passed away on October 13, 2018 at the age of 77 in Meriden, Connecticut. Funeral Home Services for Muriel are being provided by John J. Ferry & Son. The obituary was featured in The Record-Journal on October 16, 2018.
