🕵️‍♀️ Students in Amy Jensen’s seventh-grade science class at Edison Middle School put their detective skills to the test in a Barbie crime scene lab!

Using the Claim, Evidence, Reasoning (CER) framework, students analyzed physical evidence and applied science concepts like friction, force, and energy transfer to determine whether Dr. Nikki’s alibi held up. 🔬

From examining clues to debating evidence with their groups, students put their critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills to work to solve the mystery!

🍂🔎 Grade 2 students in Suzanne Orozco’s class at Hanover Elementary School became “Leaf Detectives” as they explored real leaves to identify textures, colors, and shapes. Students then used their observations to practice identifying nouns and building descriptive sentences with adjectives. What a fun way to bring learning to life! 🍃
