A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR GUESTS AND SUPPORTERS!
We want to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible people who traveled to support our event. Your time, effort, and willingness to help others grow are what make events like this so special.
First, Master Stickel from Middlesex Tang Soo Do Academy!
Thank you for helping judge throughout the day and for bringing a team to compete in our tournament. We truly appreciate your support and your commitment to helping students improve and grow!
Second, Mr. Christian from Beaudoin’s Academy of Karate!
Not only did Mr. Christian compete and win his division, but he also personally covered the expenses to bring a team from Beaudoin’s Academy of Karate to participate in our tournament! We are incredibly grateful to him and his team for making the trip, competing, and helping one another grow. That is exactly what this tournament is all about!
Third, a huge thank-you to our other special guests!
• Master Greg Martinez — Quest Martial Arts
• Master Edwin Morales — Catskill Martial Arts Academy
• Ms. Addy Astarita — Mimidis Karate
Thank you all for taking the time to come out, compete, and help our students grow. We are truly grateful for your support and look forward to welcoming you back at next year’s event!
An extra thank-you to Ms. Addy and Master Martinez, who also stepped in to judge and did a phenomenal job!
WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT OUR VOLUNTEERS!
Another huge thank-you goes out to Master Farrelly from Beaudoin’s Academy of Karate and SBN Ms. Russo from Haney’s Academy of Karate!
They volunteered their time and jumped in wherever they were needed, whether it was running the front table, helping with the bingo balls, or judging matches. Your willingness to help in any capacity made a tremendous difference, and we sincerely appreciate everything you did!
HONORING THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THIS EVENT
This tournament was inspired by Master Charland and his team from The Charland Institute of Karate. Their previous Best of the Best tournaments hosted at this school helped pave the way for our event today. Without their example they established, our tournament would not have been possible.
We want to recognize their contribution, thank them for their inspiration, and pay homage to the tradition they helped create!
SUPPORTING OUR RAISE THE ROOF CAMPAIGN
Lastly, this event was held in support of our Raise the Roof campaign, and we want to thank everyone who donated, competed, spectated, volunteered, or helped judge.
We truly could not do this without your support. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps us move closer to our goal. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us this past Saturday!
The purpose of these tournaments goes far beyond winning trophies. Our goal is to help everyone involved grow, whether they are competing, judging, coaching, or supporting from the sidelines.
Winning is fun, but seeing students develop their skills, evolve their game, build confidence, make new friends, and strengthen existing bonds is what truly matters. We want everyone to leave these events better than when they arrived.
That is what martial arts is all about!
We are excited to announce that our 2nd Annual Brawl in the Fall: Best of the Best will return next year, on the same weekend!
We can’t wait to see everyone again. Until then, we’ll see you at our next event… at the Fall Classic on November 14th!
Thank you, everyone, for making this event such a success!
Thank you, and Tang Soo!
