Never thought the time would be arriving
For so long we were thriving, our school was surviving
Got down to the last Catholic School in the city
The only one left, it was lookin real pretty
Now the fear of the unknown is what people facin
Everbody’s mind’s racin, was this whole thing mistaken?
My family’s been here for generations
We never thought that we would see separation
I still got cousins who were in the middle of rockin Dennis shorts and skorts
It’s sad to know that their time was cut short
And my brother had one year left
Now he won’t get the diploma that we get to accept
I remember celebratin graduation
Just to think that’s the same thing he was chasin
All my life things have gone so wrong
But this school is the reason that my faith is so strong
It taught me that when times are lookin rough
Just look up and see a dove, that’s God watching from above
So to all my fellow OLMC alumnis
Let it out if you must cry
But God will take care of everyone in this tough time
This school was in our lives from the start
Now we’re drifting apart
In our lives, this school played a part
OLMC will forever hold a place in our hearts 💚💛
