Seedling Spotlight: Siberia Tomato

50 days, determinate — The productive 'Siberia' tomato plants produce very early in the season due to its ability to set fruit in cool temperatures where other varieties will not. Reportedly, it is capable of setting fruit down to 38ºF, however, 'Siberia', like any other tomato, is not actually frost hardy. They are bright red, globe shaped, and weigh up to five ounces each.

Seedling Spotlight: Triple Berry Scabiosa Mix

We've formulated this mix for the delicious, fruity color palette but also for improved uniformity and ease of harvest. While beautiful, some of the lighter colors (not included here) which are included in the full-color mixes can have a rangy or weak plant habit, making those mixes trickier to harvest. 1 1/2–2 1/2" blooms. Also known as pincushion flower or mourningbride.

Plant Height: 24–36"

Seedling Spotlight: Arriba (F1) Jalapeño Pepper

High-yielding yellow jalapeño.

Pale yellow to start, the 3 1/2–4" long fruits transition to an orangey red, finally ripening to bright red. Arriba matches well with our green hybrid jalapeños, as they are all similar in size and shape. Though typically eaten yellow, fruits can be consumed at any stage of ripeness. Medium-size plants have high yield potential. An excellent salsa ingredient, Arriba is also delicious either as a substitute or an addition to recipes calling for green jalapeños. Also known as a "Caribe" type pepper.

Seedling Spotlight: Russell’s Formula Mix Lupine

Hardy, long-lived, and easy to maintain perennial.

Includes white, pink, violet-blue, red, yellow, peach, and bicolors. Sweetly scented blooms. Plants produce multiple blooms with stiff and straight stems. In our trials, these first-year flowering plants bloomed in early July in the first year and about a month earlier, (early June) from well-established plants in the second year. Bloom quality and productivity were better in the second season, although all plants did produce flowers in the first season. Performs best where summers are cool. Attracts and provides a food source for bees and hummingbirds. 1–2' blooms/spikes are densely covered with ½" pea-like flowers. Lupin is typically resistant to deer and rabbits. Perennial in Zones 4–8.
