East/West ESL Tutoring was founded in 1990 and remains focused on Private instruction and Corporate contracts providing classes in English As A Second Language. Shellie Shulkin, owner, is a certified ESL instructor and graduate of Dr. Nancy Tulare's S-TESL program at Seattle University. Shulkin has taught ESL at Seattle Central Community College - Institute of English, and is both an accomplished
private tutor and classroom instructor working with people from various countries and cultures. Private instruction is offered at the office of East/West ESL located on Mercer Island, or at the student's place of business (only within the greater Seattle and Eastside area). corporate group instruction is usually offered at the offices of the corporation or at such places that will accommodate the size of the group. All classes, both private and group, are designed specifically to meet the needs and goals of each individual, and to increase the student's confidence in understanding and using the English language.
