W. B. Travis Elementary staff members returned this week to begin preparing for the 2026-2027 school year. The staff participated in campus meetings, trainings and the district convocation.
This year's school theme is Back To The Future Of Learning. It is all about celebrating the past while preparing our students for an amazing future.

A special recognition to W. B Travis Elementary students Sophia and Zoe Vasquez for their participation in the 2026-2027 MISD Convocation. Sophia and Zoe led MISD employees in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge to begin the event.

W. B. Travis Elementary School celebrated the amazing educators that impact our students' lives during Teacher Appreciation Week.
The administrative team recognized the staff daily for their dedication to our students and school by providing everyone with a grilled burger lunch, cool treats, a coffee bar to fuel the staff, great gear and a delicious rise & shine breakfast.
A heartfelt thank you also goes out to all the students that brought gifts to their teachers to show their appreciation.
