Monday, 10/12: Orange & Black Day - Orange you Glad to be kind and drug fee
Tuesday, 10/13: Spooky Sock Day - Sock it to Drugs and Step up for Kindness
Wednesday, 10/14: Flannel Day - Fall in to kindness and leaf drugs behind
Thursday, 10/15: Cozy Clothes Day - Cozy up to kindness and say no to drugs
Friday, 10/16: Costume Day - no tricks, just treats - choose kindness and stay drug free

A huge shoutout to our talented student artists, Adelyn L., Niani J., Jesse O., Jayden L., Ian C., and Hector S., from Mr. Downey’s Reading Skills class for creating our spirit week flyer.

We can’t wait to see our Foxes participate and show their school spirit all week long!

Our third graders had a pretty exciting day at City Hall!

They learned about local government, met some of the people who help make decisions for our community, and even participated in a mock City Council meeting where they discussed issues and voted on matters that affect them.

They also got a surprise visit from the City of Merced Fire Department who helped our students deliver a very special surprise gift to the mayor Matthew Serratto! 🚒

Let’s just say… the visit took an unexpected turn! 😂 Check out the video to see what happened!

We’re excited to celebrate our October Students of the Month tomorrow at our Flagpole Celebration!

This month’s character word is SELF-CONTROL, and our Student of the Month recipients will be running the Red Carpet!

Mrs. Hillhouse’s class will be on stage to help lead the way! Gates will open at approximately 8:45 AM.
We can’t wait to celebrate our amazing Foxes with you!

Attendance Matters, Foxes! 🦊

Our September Attendance Newsletter is here! Take a look at our September attendance highlights, including our Attendance Art Poster Contest winners, Perfect Attendance Raffle winner, classroom ice cream party winners, and the grade levels leading the pack! 🏆

We are so proud of all of our students who made coming to school and being ready to learn a priority last month.

🎯 Our goal: Every Fox finishes the school year with 96% attendance or better!

Remember, every day counts! Missing just 2 days each month can add up to more than 20 missed school days over the course of the year.

This recognition is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and heart that our students, teachers, staff, and families bring to Farmdale every day.
We’re also excited to celebrate our friends at Weaver Middle School, ranked #10 among middle schools in Merced County! 🐾

Student Creativity Takes the Spotlight! 🦊

We’re making a change at Farmdale! Instead of turning to staff or AI to create our social media posts, we’re turning to the amazing creativity of our students!

Because honestly… what our students create is even better!

We want to inspire creativity, celebrate student talent, and give our Foxes a chance to have their work seen throughout our school community. From now on, you will start seeing more student-generated posts around Farmdale!

This week’s Minimum Day flyer is brought to you by Aaron A-R from Mrs. Vang’s 5th grade class! We think he did an awesome job!

We are SO lucky to have the best Farmdale families! 🧡

Our amazing parent and family volunteers spent the entire day out in the heat running learning stations for our Foxes. They brought lots of smiles, patience, energy, and so much love for our students, helping make our pumpkin patch day one they won’t forget!

Days like this take a village, and we are incredibly thankful for the families who show up and make it happen. 🦊🎃

Today is your chance to beat the carnival rush and purchase your wristband for just $5!

Last year, approximately 1,000 community members joined us for the carnival! With a crowd that big, we highly recommend buying your wristband ahead of time so you can avoid the long line at the gate and get straight to the fun!

Wristband Sales: In Front of the School
Before School 8:00–9:00 AM
After School: 2:00–3:30 PM

Wristbands will also be available at the gate, but there will be a line, so beat the rush and buy yours early!

💵 IMPORTANT: CASH ONLY! Our card machine is currently not working, so we can only accept cash.

Take a look at what’s happening in our Girls Who Code Club!

Mrs. Hillhouse took advantage of an amazing opportunity through Girls Who Code and started a club where our girls can explore coding, technology, problem-solving, and creativity while having FUN!

Girls Who Code provided the club with shirts, swag, and funding for supplies through Amazon to help get the girls started!

We are so excited to watch our girls learn, create, build confidence, and discover all the possibilities that come with coding and STEM!

A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Hillhouse for making this opportunity happen for our students! ❤️

The future is coding, and our Farmdale girls are ready! 💻🚀
