Christmas is over but I hope you’re still in a generous giving mood! Our 2026 scholarship commitments will come due again in April. We need your help to continue supporting deserving MHS graduates.
I’d like to tell you a quick story. Nearly 15 years ago the class of 1972 began to give scholarships from $$ generously donated by our alumni. The class of 1976 thought that was such a good idea they contacted us to get information on how to begin doing the same. They began and have out-raised and out-classed us every year since! They have an annual fundraiser where classmates are asked to give $76 for scholarships and they give six or seven $1000 scholarships nearly every year. We struggle to give three $500 scholarships a year.
We are not saying we don’t appreciate the donations we get but the same 10 faithful alumni (thank you all!) seem to be donating and we are barely raising $1500 a year. Could you open your pocketbook or wallet wide enough to donate $72? We welcome more or less however this seems a good place to start. The Class of ‘72 Rocks! Let’s keep that concept going with our generosity to help support & educate young people in a community that helped raise us all!
