We are looking for volunteers to collect data this Saturday at Cap and Town to help with a community survey! Any volunteers who want to learn a bit more about data analysis & research dissemination are welcome to join a follow-up group meeting to crunch out a report and presentation for community leaders. This opportunity is ideal for students looking to get involved in the community while gaining research experience. Poverty disparity emerges as major issue in California After Gov. Jerry Brown released his spending proposal Jan. 9, advocates for the poor held rallies in Los Angeles, San Francisco and other cities, saying that California needs to do more to reduce poverty and income inequality.
