Today, we recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Merced College honors the rich histories, cultures, traditions and contributions of Indigenous peoples, past and present.

Our campus stands on the unceded ancestral lands of the Yokuts people, whose ancestors and descendants have cared for and maintained a deep connection to this land for generations.

Today and every day, we recognize and celebrate Indigenous communities and their lasting contributions to our region.

Learning by doing isn’t new here.

For generations, Merced College agriculture students have taken their learning beyond the classroom—from horseshoeing and livestock judging to mechanical agriculture, rodeo and more.

The tools, technology and programs have evolved over the years, but hands-on learning has remained at the heart of the experience.

Rooted in the Valley. Growing for what’s next.

Since 1962, we’ve been here. So you can get there.

Her parents, Ray and Lucille Milani, spent many years at Merced College and left an impact that Susan still carries with her today.

Now, their names will forever be part of the Alumni Trident.
