Summer Academy Session 1 is off to a great start! ☀️📚

Led by our amazing MARS staff, students are engaging in hands-on, enriching learning experiences that keep them curious, creative, and connected throughout the summer.

From exciting activities to meaningful learning opportunities, our students are making the most of their time at Stowell, Sheehy, Chenoweth, and Rivera Elementary Schools!

Session 1 of Mini-Versity was a tremendous success! 🎉

Certificated and classified MCSD employees came together to expand their knowledge and skills through professional learning opportunities in literacy, math, relationships, well-being, UDL, programs, science, CPR, and first aid.

Thank you to all of our dedicated staff for investing in your professional growth and helping make this experience so impactful. We appreciate your commitment to learning and to our students!

This year, Mrs. Fuentes' 5th grade students at Gracey Elementary had the unique opportunity to welcome Superintendent Stocking into their classroom as a "Teacher for the Day." After several visits throughout the school year, she concluded the experience with a day full of engaging, hands-on learning and memorable activities.

Students explored science by creating erupting volcanoes and building solar ovens for delicious s'mores, put their problem-solving skills to work through LEGO engineering challenges, practiced fluency, and participated in many other engaging learning activities.

What a wonderful experience for our students to learn, create, and grow with a district leader who invested her time in our classroom. Thank you, Superintendent Stocking, for investing in our students and making learning engaging, meaningful, and unforgettable. It was truly a wonderful experience for everyone involved! 💙📚
