First Grade life skills in action!

This lesson actually begins in Kindergarten, where our students start learning important information every child should know. By First Grade, they’re ready to put it all together and make the call home!

Before dialing, our students had to memorize FOUR important things:
• Mom and Dad’s full names
• Their full home address
• Their parent’s phone number
• And finally… how to physically dial the number themselves! 📞

It may seem like a simple activity, but these are big life skills that can help our students feel confident and prepared if they ever need to call home in an emergency.

The best part? Watching their faces light up when Mom or Dad actually answered! ☎️

This week, our 4th and 5th graders explored the art element of shape! 🎨

On Tuesday, students created animals using different shapes, and on Thursday, they took their designs to the next level by recreating them with pancake batter!!

Who knew learning about art could be this delicious? 😋

🍎 Learning tasted so sweet in 1st Grade! 🍏

Yesterday, Ms. Martinez’s first graders celebrated the upcoming birthday of Johnny Appleseed with a hands-on apple lesson! Students spent time learning about apples, exploring how they can be used, and connecting their learning to the story and legacy of Johnny Appleseed. 🌳📚

And of course, the best way to wrap up an apple lesson? Bake the apples and enjoy the delicious results! APPLE PIES 🥧🍎😋

We love seeing our students learn through experiences that bring history, science, and everyday life together in a fun and memorable way.

Our 4th & 5th graders are officially in the commercial business… and they’re here to sell you some TRI-TIP! 🥩

Each dinner includes:

The Scholastic Book Fair has officially arrived! Our preschool students spotted the Book Fair rig making its delivery and lined up along the fence chanting, “HONK THE HORN!” 😂📣

Of course, they were very excited to welcome all those books to campus!

We’ll be busy setting everything up tomorrow, and then it’s almost time for a week full of books, stories, and fun! 📖

Our Jordan took one for the Boys team… but don’t worry, he’s still standing 😅💪

What a game!!! From some seriously impressive catches by BOTH Moms and Boys (we see you 👀🔥) to nonstop laughs the whole way through — this one was a something special!

Final score: 12–3… Moms came to play and took the W 👏

Big shoutout to our amazing staff for putting this all together — moments like this are what make our community so special!!
