ATTENTION BOBCATS:
Title: What Triggers Are And Why You Need to Understand Them
Date: Friday, April 24, 2020
Time: Noon-1pm
Description:
Someone makes a joke, a snide comment, thinking ‘no big deal,’ but all you can think about for the rest of the day are those words, over and over again. You find yourself feeling off-center, anxious, guilty, angry, or even in shame.
Does this sound familiar?
We all have emotional triggers. It can be challenging to identify exactly what those triggers are, but the process of getting to know and understand them can help us heal and learn how to cope better in response. Please join us, as we explore the power of triggers and discuss why it is so important for us to understand them.

UC Merced's Womxn's Programs, a unit of the Office of Social Justice Initiatives & Identity Programs, is excited to bring to you the 2020 Womxn's Empowerment Webinar Series.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Our Voices” and will feature keynote speakers Margo F. Souza and Jess Evora on Monday, April 13th, as well as workshops on finding your voice in leadership, advocating for change, and how to stop apologizing amidst a patriarchal society throughout the week!
Thanks to the flexibility and dedication of our amazing presenters, we have moved our previously planned one-day conference into a virtual format with five live webinars taking place over a week's time span.
We hope you will join us for these exciting opportunities to learn and engage with one another.
Together we stand. Would your service club like to donate supplies to pass out FREE cloth masks for the community? Please message us to join our efforts. This goes out to ANY service club. Lets connect and concur. We have a plan.
Just for you...

About the event:
This presentation is a cartography of q***r and trans Latinx love in Los Angeles. Working with an archive of oral histories, cultural production, and urban geographies of love, pleasure, and loss, Eddy Francisco Alvarez Jr. charts the affective, physical, and imagined spaces of q***r brown LA. Informed by sequined dresses and dancefloors, immigrant rights marches and hospital rooms, this project weaves together multiple sites and memories that show how jotería find sequins in the rubble of erasure, displacement and silence.
