Help families in Dane County get the extra help they need!
This is an exciting, compassionate opportunity supporting families with children with special needs in Dane County. The primary responsibility is to recruit talented caregivers and match them to the child's care needs - such as mentoring, companionship and daily living skills. The Placement Manager is a part-time position (approx 25-30 hrs/week). This position does not require residence in Dane County.
All responsibilities listed below will be supported by our Mequon office personnel.
Main Responsibilities
- Interview families to understand child's needs and family expectations (in-person).
- Interview applicants to understand their level of skill set, experience, availability (in-person or virtual).
- Determine match of candidate with
family.
- Enter family details in computer system.
- Train new staff members.
- Follow up with Dane Co Department of Human Services (DHS) case managers to confirm hour allocation, service code/description, rate, plan duration.
- Keep ongoing correspondence with families, case managers and applicants.
Requirements
- Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in an office setting
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, associate's degree preferred
Compensation Package:
$18-$22/hour based on experience
