Concordia University Wisconsin is now accepting applications for the 8th cohort of Business Skills for Faith-Based Organizations, a professional development program designed to equip LCMS pastors and church workers with the operational and leadership skills that strengthen ministry.

Through the continued generosity of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF), scholarship recipients receive full tuition for the program. The curriculum is delivered through eight microlearning courses covering human resources management and development, conflict resolution, financial management, social media marketing, fundraising, strategy, and change management. Participants complete multiple action plans aimed at solving real challenges within their organizations and earn 13.5 CEUs and a digital badge upon completion.

The scholarship also includes the Gateway Option, which covers the transfer fee and tuition for one MBA course. Graduates may transfer their CEUs into nine graduate credits and, with one additional MBA course, earn a Graduate Certificate in Management, completing one third of the MBA at CUW. The transfer option requires an undergraduate degree and acceptance into the MBA program.

Preference will be given to rostered church workers, though others employed by an LCMS church, school, or organization are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is November 9, 2026.

Rev. Dr. Joshua LaFeve visited Newcastle Place to talk about the Biblical Gospels as part of CUW's Continuing Education Studies Platinum Speaker Series.

Dr. LaFeve walked attendees through the different portraits of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, exploring how each Gospel writer opens their account in a different way to reveal who Jesus is.

Dr. Jessica Leiberg, Dean of the School of Nursing, shared her passion for homemade winemaking and offered practical tips for getting started using seasonal fruits and simple supplies.
