Some of our parents enjoyed a morning of pampering from their kids at our Pampered Parents program from this past Saturday. The parents were treated to manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, a new hairstyle, and adorable friendship bracelets as a little souvenir. 🥰

🐶 Have a reticent reader? We can help!

Our Paws to Read program pairs kids with trained therapy dogs. The pups make an ideal audience—supportive, adorable and happy to listen to the reader—and all they ask for in return is the occasional belly rub. Paws to Read is open to any kids who can read independently between the ages of six and 12 years old.

The next Paws to Read sessions will be at 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at our Headlands Branch. Registration is required. 🐾

🐾 📖 What a paws-itively beautiful program!

Author/illustrator Penny Thomas and her fabulous furry friend Sadie shared their picture book — Read to Sadie — with the kids at our Headlands Branch! Then the children wrote and drew their OWN stories to share with Sadie.

Thanks to Penny, Sadie, and all the families who joined us. Kids, keep reading and dreaming up new stories!
