🚨 PROPERTY TAX PROTEST – LAKE COUNTY 🚨
Homeowners and seniors — tired of paying too much in property taxes?
It’s time to stand up and be heard.
📍 WHERE
Lake County Administration Center
105 Main Street, Painesville, OH 44077
(Commissioners Chambers – 5th Floor, Building A)
📅 WHEN – Thursday, June 25, 2026
• 9:15 AM – Gather outside for the protest
• 9:45 AM – Public Hearing on the Proposed 2027 Lake County Tax Budget
• 10:00 AM – Regular Commissioners Meeting (Public Comment Period)
❗ WHY THIS MATTERS
The Commissioners are voting on whether to renew two key tax-relief measures:
• The doubling of the Homestead Exemption for low-income seniors (real savings of roughly $500–$1,000+ per year for many)
• The Owner Occupancy Credit for all homeowners who live in their own home
We need them to VOTE YES on both to keep property taxes lower. These programs help seniors stay in their homes and give working families breathing room. Losing them would make an already tough situation worse.
Show up. Bring your neighbors. Bring signs. Speak during public comment.
Every voice counts. Peaceful, respectful protest welcome.
Your home. Your taxes. Your future. Make it count on June 25th.

Hey friends and neighbors!
Tami and I headed out to Geauga County last night—it had been too long since we’ve been back to an area I used to live in and stay heavily involved with. We caught up with my good friend Ralph Spidalieri and his daughter at Cowboy Creamery in Middlefield.
Let me tell you—this isn’t just an ice cream stand. It’s a true neighborhood gathering spot with everything done right. I had the banana pudding ice cream… oh my goodness, it was out of this world! Top-notch flavors, cakes, shakes, and that warm community feel.
If you’re in Geauga County, stopping by Great Lakes Outdoors, or coming from Lake County—take the ride and treat yourself. It’s some of the best ice cream around. Tell ’em Mario sent you!
