⚙️Learn GD&T in one convenient day of classes!

Our Multisession GD&T class is on Tuesday, November 3rd, beginning at 8:30 AM. Take one class or complete the full series.

𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 - 8:30 AM: Our basic GD&T class builds on skills learned in our blueprint classes. The class will cover the basics of GD&T geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. GD&T symbols, datums, and how to interpret them.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 - 12 PM: Our intermediate GD&T class builds on the skills learned in our GD&T basics class. The class will cover more advanced GD&T topics. True position, material modifiers, double feature control frames, and true position calculations.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 - 2:15 PM: Our advanced GD&T course builds on the skills learned in all previous GD&T and Blueprint classes. Apply the skills learned in Basic and Intermediate GD&T to hands-on inspection techniques.

💡 What a great day of STEM learning at AWT!

Today's NEOEA STEM Day brought young minds together for a morning of creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning at the AWT Transformation Training Center!

🔧 Students ages 9–14 took on the challenge of designing and building their own light-up marble mazes, learning valuable skills like soldering and completing electrical circuits along the way.

⚙️ Experiences like these are a great way to spark curiosity and introduce young people to the skills used in manufacturing careers.

Invest in your team by building the foundational skills employees need to operate CNC lathes with confidence.
During this hands-on course, students will learn:
✅ Basic CNC lathe operations
✅ Turning tool/insert types
✅ Work offsets
✅ Cutter comp adjustment
✅ Basic G- and M-codes
Students receive a combination of hands-on machine experience and classroom instruction, helping them connect the concepts they learn directly to the shop floor.

🎉 What better way to celebrate Manufacturing Day than by introducing hundreds of students to local manufacturers and the career opportunities available right here in Northeast Ohio?
⚙️Today’s Think Manufacturing Career Expo at Perry High School gave students a firsthand look at the many paths available in modern manufacturing.
Students heard from a panel of young industry professionals who shared their experiences and perspectives on starting a career in manufacturing. They then explored the expo floor, meeting local manufacturers, learning what they make, and discovering future careers and job opportunities available immediately after graduation.

Held each October, the Think Manufacturing Career Expo helps open students’ eyes to opportunities they may not have considered and shows them that there are many different pathways to building a rewarding career in manufacturing.
For manufacturers, the Expo is an opportunity to connect with the next generation of talent, meet potential interns and future employees, showcase what they make, and help students see themselves as part of the future of manufacturing.

⚙️ Today was about making connections, creating possibilities, and inspiring the next generation of makers.

How many of us learned as young students that manufacturing could offer an exciting and rewarding career?
🚐 The AWT ThinkMFG Van rolled into Careers on Wheels Day at the Ashtabula Lakeside Elementary Campus on Friday, September 25, to help students discover just that!
Students were introduced to the world of manufacturing through hands-on experiences and technology. They watched a 3D printer in action and met Bernard the Axolotl, one of our 3D-printed friends who helps students see firsthand how an idea can become a real object through manufacturing.
⚙️ Career awareness can start early. By giving young students opportunities to explore manufacturing, technology, robotics, and STEM, we can help them understand that the things they use every day are designed, engineered, and made by people, and that someday, they could be the ones making them.
Thank you to Ashtabula Lakeside Elementary Campus for including AWT in Careers on Wheels Day and giving students the opportunity to explore careers in their community!
